I'm finding it exceedingly difficult to support a government and a family on a single salary..

The primaries for Linda Mwananchi should be very very interesting. Let the ground decride if the wasiliti will find their way back.
I remember when Obama was giving his speech after winning his second term and he addressed the many voters who didn't like him by saying "I will be your president too."
I suppose this is the reality of that office. You serve not only those you like, but also those you may not.

Imagine your kids are starving with no clothes, and as a father you buy a 65-inch TV so they can watch Cocomelon in HD.
That's exactly what this government is doing.

🚨 ATTENTION! People are mistranslating what I said!
I NEVER said people should block far-right accounts. I said they should IGNORE THEIR POSTS!
Blocking actually works against this strategy because the algorithm will understand that you didn’t see the content simply because you blocked the account.
However, when a post appears in your feed and you ignore it, you don’t read it, don’t like it, don’t comment on it, or engage with it in any way , the algorithm will interpret that content as irrelevant because it was shown to you and you chose not to engage with it!
THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BLOCKING CONTENT AND IGNORING IT!
18-24 year olds (majority) not being registered voters is insane, when they'll willingly be crammed in a space to see an artiste. Events guys gotta start asking for voter reg, heck, social sanctions should kick in. Voter apathy cost us a lot, still is. Bffr, this is all on us.

The thing that irks me the most is that the folks creating these AIs and robots likely grew up reading the same science fiction books I did and rather than read the cautionary tales therein, seem committed to making the very things the books warned about happen.
Ever notice that in Dune humans fly spaceships between planets but don't use a single computer?
That's not a plot hole. It's completely on purpose. The movies barely explain why, but once you know, almost everything else in Dune starts to make sense.
About 10,000 years before Paul Atreides, humans did exactly what we're doing right now. They built thinking machines to make life easier. They let the machines do their work and make their decisions, hoping it would set them free.
Instead, the people who controlled those machines gained the power to enslave everyone else.
Humanity eventually fought back in a holy war called the Butlerian Jihad, and won. The thinking machines were destroyed.
To make sure it would never happen again, they made one rule sacred: "Thou shalt not make a machine in the likeness of a human mind."
But getting rid of computers created a problem: who would do their work? The answer was humans.
Mentats are trained from childhood to think like computers. Navigators use the spice to glimpse the future and steer ships safely through space. The Bene Gesserit spend generations pushing the human mind and body to their limits.
Every superpower in Dune exists for one reason: there are no computers.
That's my favorite thing about Dune. It's also the most terrifying. Dune isn't a future without AI. It's the future after AI.
Frank Herbert wrote that in 1965.
