Building business infrastructure for solo operators and business owners who are scaling.

Wow! Big news today!
Soon Discord messages will be indexable on Google. If you're in a public Discord which is discoverable, and has not changed its privacy settings, any messages posted moving forward can be found from search engines!
Hooray!!!!!1 (I think this is very bad)

Generating a website with AI is a solved problem, anyone can do it in minutes
But if you run a solo business, the more important question is what you want to be responsible for after launch
hosting and deployment? making the next edit when your services or prices change?
You might know how to handle all of that
but do you really want another administrative role?
Don’t be caught accidentally signing up for a second job!!
Every skill that is needed to code well with AI isn't AI native and I could probably get a competent but isolated dev up to speed in 2 afternoons.
imagine being a software engineer in 2026 and your company treats using Claude Code or Codex like you're cheating at your job.
sounds crazy but apparently this is still how some big banks and traditional companies operate.
AI coding agents are getting ridiculously good, yet there are engineers spending their entire day writing boilerplate, debugging things manually and going back and forth on PR reviews.
meanwhile devs using Claude Code, OpenAI Codex and AI agents are building and shipping at a completely different pace.
but honestly, what worries me more is what happens to the people working in these environments.
you work 9 to 7, get home exhausted, and now you're somehow supposed to keep up with agentic coding, MCP, new AI tools and workflows that seem to change every other week.
how many people realistically have the energy for that?
and here's where it gets interesting.
imagine spending the next 2-3 years being a good engineer, following every company policy, getting solid performance reviews and doing everything you're supposed to.
then one day you're back looking for a job.
the market doesn't care that your company discouraged AI. you're still competing with developers who've spent those same years actually building with it.
and yeah, AI-generated code still needs testing, code reviews and proper engineering judgment. nobody's arguing against that.
but being careful with AI and making engineers afraid to use it are two very different things.
feels like we're watching two completely different types of developers emerge.
one group is figuring out how to build better software with AI.
the other is still trying to convince their company to let them use it.
and the weirdest part is that some of the engineers doing everything right at work might be the ones falling behind without even realizing it.
curious what you guys think about this? 👀

I deleted the post quoting Cohere.
Until proven otherwise, and until they provide actual traces, I will treat it as FUD and nothing else. Pls post proof if you have it.
Nevertheless, I will be experimenting myself, and will set up a monitoring tool for the local models I run.
Manufacturing engineers everywhere just did the math in their heads and gasped in horror.
there's something genuinely beautiful about topology optimization
you give it a load case, a boundary, and a material budget and it just… removes everything that doesn't need to be there
no aesthetic intent
no design language
no human bias toward familiar shapes
just physics deciding what stays
the results look organic because nature runs the same algorithm stress flows material remains where it must everything else disappears
engineers spent centuries adding material for confidence
topology optimization asks a different question entirely:
what's the minimum structure that doesn't fail?
and the answer is always something that looks alive

ANNOUNCEMENT !!
We’re now Lunanineai.com (previously Luna9.space).
WHAT CHANGED
- We moved from .space to .com, a more familiar domain for clients outside the tech industry.
- We standardized our brand name from Luna9 and LunaNine to one name: LunaNine.
WHY
This supports our SEO efforts and gives our brand a more consistent, recognizable identity.
WHAT IT MEANS FOR YOU
Luna9.space redirects to Lunanineai.com
So, nothing else changes for you.
Thank you for staying with us.

Tech Twitter has four main groups:
- AI hype accounts
- Crypto bros
- Indie dads coding at 5am
- Then there’s us quietly building software for solo service businesses 🙂
Did I miss a group 5?

We're acquiring more customers after releasing a stable beta build last week.
We anticipate between @BuildWithAJ , @benvspak and @techie_vic that a combination of direct sales,
(10 cold contacts - calls & targeted emails per person per day)
and marketing (larger leverage bet) we'll conservatively net about 1 new customer per week.
We hypothesize, this is the clearist route to a profitable business.
We're exploring product market fit, with variety of niches.
The core product is being iterated on by either Alicia, or myself on a near daily basis - weekends often included.
I think .. many people are used to the standard crypto pump.
Either they get a quick return, or they divest.
This is meant to be held as a long term asset.
So, we still have very large holders with conviction on this long term play.
We're aiming for a 2050 time horizon where we focus on Techno-optimism and democritization of AI for the every person.
the feature: add google sign in to the app
Claude:
the load bearing authentication seam is now resolved, as are its milestones, M1, M2, M3.
The next gate in authentication is Sign in with facebook as established in the roadmap.

Gm, friends of Luna9!
It’s a big first for us today: we’ll be publishing our first article!
we’ve been working on this one and are excited to finally share it with you.
so, keep an eye out.

I think AI usage disclosure is gonna become more common moving forward.
I've started seeing youtubers putting up notices of "some visuals generated with AI" and others vehemently state "No AI was used in the making of this video"
AI will replace every position where programmers new to the field cut their teeth.
We are already seeing this with graphic design.
AI companies are banking on the technology being good enough that the lack of new talent doesn't collapse the software industry.

From talking to small business owners, we’re learning that running a small business can mean managing a surprisingly complicated back office
most times client details are in one place, payments in another, deadlines in a spreadsheet and follow-ups buried in messages.
While each tool handles its own part, the business owner is left keeping track of how everything fits together.
Now, that’s the kind of mess we’re building Luna9 to solve.
So you get to have a less complicated back office

Someone just made a 2016 GPU useful for a 2026 model.
Project Maya v1.1.14 added experimental support for Pascal: Tesla P40, P100, GTX 10 series. Same engine I use to run GLM-5.3 Flash on my rig. It just crossed 200K downloads.
@PeasantSmith did this without a VC deck or a waitlist.
Cards you can find cheap on eBay are useful again because 1 person cared. No frontier lab will ever do this for you. They want you to rent.
Local AI is people like him. Go star the repo.
Project Maya v1.1.14
• Added support to NVIDIA Pascal (Tesla P40 / P100, GTX 10) as experimental
• unsloth's Q6_K_XL and Q8_0 GGUFs of GLM-5.3-Flash now run
