$VVV is my favorite
$VVV burns are increasing about ~1% a day
$9,000 daily $VVV burn on July 17th
$24,150 daily $VVV burn on October 25th
At this rate, January will start with $45,000 of daily $VVV burns, and end with $62,000 daily $VVV burn
Lower that assumption by 33%, and you get $300,000 daily $VVV burn in December 2027
Human evolution runs on generations and years spent raising kids. Machine evolution runs on compute.
AI has already partly broken free of that clock. Enough compute and it evolves in a blink. Our biological pace doesn't stand a chance against that.
⚡️AI has begun improving the machinery of intelligence itself.
The consequences are larger than the market currently understands.
The critical development is that computational efficiency is becoming endogenous to intelligence.
For most of computing history, better algorithms came from human researchers. Hardware improved, researchers discovered more efficient methods, and software advanced.
Now AI participates directly in discovering those improvements.
The machinery is beginning to improve the mathematics governing what the machinery can accomplish.
That changes the economics of intelligence.
An AI system discovers an algorithm that makes a class of computations cheaper. The savings increase the amount of experimentation possible with existing hardware. More experimentation creates more opportunities to discover additional improvements.
The potential feedback loop is precise: discovery increases effective computational capacity, which increases the capacity for discovery.
And here's the deeper implication.
The first consequential form of recursive AI improvement doesn't require a machine to redesign its entire successor. It can emerge from thousands of individual discoveries that progressively reduce the cost of building and operating intelligence.
That process has already begun. What has yet to be demonstrated is sustained, autonomous compounding across successive generations of discovery.
The claimed ETH result would be a particularly significant milestone if its mathematical claim holds. But the larger transformation does not depend on that single theorem.
The economic consequences are substantial.
We currently measure AI expansion through GPUs, electricity, data centers, and capital expenditure. Those remain essential. But their productive value increasingly depends on algorithms that AI itself can improve.
The amount of intelligence obtainable from a fixed quantity of physical infrastructure is becoming a moving target, and intelligence itself is helping move it.
That introduces a new competitive asymmetry. An organization that discovers superior algorithms can effectively increase its computational resources without purchasing additional hardware.
And because cheaper computation enables new applications, efficiency improvements can stimulate demand for even more infrastructure.
The dominant trajectory is accelerating algorithmic discovery, increasing effective compute, and continued expansion of the physical systems supporting it.
But the most consequential part lies further ahead.
Once intelligence becomes sufficiently capable of improving the processes that generate intelligence, the rate of progress becomes increasingly dependent on the capabilities produced by previous progress.
That is the mechanism behind recursive acceleration.
The decisive threshold will be reached when AI-generated improvements consistently expand the discovery capacity of subsequent AI systems faster than the resources required to find those improvements.
The strongest signal is that intelligence has entered the process of improving its own production function.
That is already real.
And it changes the long-term trajectory of technological progress more fundamentally than another generation of faster chips.
Can my account return get back to the July high?

The Chinese will drop the most unhinged savagery and insults at Turks 🇹🇷 online, no problem, but the moment a French footballer laughs at a photoshopped meme of himself as Mao and says he's "some guy - I think he's a Chinese dictator” in the most offhand way possible, it’s full Cultural Revolution mode.
Within hours, energy drink Dongpeng announced it was ending its partnership with Kylan Mbappé.
Then Mengniu, China's largest dairy producer, cut every tie with "immediate effect." Mengniu said it has "zero tolerance" for any words or actions that hurt the feelings of the Chinese people.
"Dongpeng Beverage ends cooperation with Mbappé" became the number one trending topic on Weibo.
For laughing at a dumb Mao meme on a French show, and not knowing who he was, Mbappé lost sponsors, and the state is now blacking out La Liga on Chinese TV.
Which is important context seeing that the Chinese keyboard warriors who popped out from behind the Great Firewall to hurl high IQ, historically sophisticated venom at Turks this past week have been advertising “look how free and based we are.”
But you're not really free and based if you can't even be ignorant of or not supply sufficient reverence to your nation's leaders and heroes.
Kylian Mbappé lost major Chinese sponsorship deals after joking about a meme of himself as Mao Zedong.
On the French YouTube show The Bridge (hosted by his France teammate Aurélien Tchouaméni), Mbappé was asked about his favorite meme of himself. He said it was the one where his face is put on the body of a “Chinese dictator” (Mao Zedong). He added that it really makes him laugh and that he uses it a lot with his friends (e.g., while gaming online).
Dongpeng (Eastroc Beverage / Bu Shui La brand), a major Chinese drinks company and one of Mbappé’s key Chinese sponsors, terminated all cooperation immediately. It stated it firmly opposes any conduct that hurts national sentiment and applies zero tolerance.
Mengniu, the large Chinese dairy company, also cut ties and removed Mbappé-related content from its social media (including Weibo).
We weren't born to be laborers. Our destiny was never to be laborers. God didn't make people to be laborers. He made people to think, to live through this life, to be happy. The core meaning of life is experience, thinking, and seeking joy. Everyone has the right to feel the beauty of the world, to grow alongside family, and to explore their own potential. When people burn all their life essence on endless labor, they're giving up the highest value of being human. Only by waking up that inner awareness, and refusing to take "laborer" as the only label of who you are, can you move life's center of gravity from "surviving" to "living."

⚡️ Something inside you has been alive for billions of years.
And almost nobody thinks about what that means.
You were born on a particular day. Your parents were born decades earlier. Their parents before them.
But trace the biological lineage backward far enough, and something extraordinary emerges.
At no point was the chain of living cells that produced you interrupted.
Every cell in your ancestry came from another living cell.
Before humans existed, that continuity passed through creatures without language.
Before mammals, through organisms without recognizable emotions.
Before nervous systems, through life that had never experienced sight, sound, or thought.
Further back still, through single-celled organisms inhabiting an Earth almost unrecognizable today.
For billions of years, matter has been organizing, maintaining, and reproducing itself without allowing that particular lineage to end.
Wars happened. Continents moved. Asteroids struck. Entire branches of life disappeared.
Yet the chain that eventually became you continued.
Now consider the implication.
When you were born, your body began an individual existence.
But the living process from which your body emerged was already ancient.
You inherited an uninterrupted biological continuity reaching back toward the earliest life on Earth.
And here’s where the thought becomes difficult to shake.
Every ancestor in that chain successfully transmitted life before dying.
Every single one.
An incomprehensible number of events had to unfold without severing the lineage that eventually produced you.
And now, after billions of years of organisms reproducing without understanding what they were participating in, that same evolutionary lineage has produced something capable of contemplating its own origin.
Life has become intelligent enough to recognize the continuity that made its intelligence possible.
Your individual existence is temporary.
The living lineage that produced you is older than humanity, older than animals, older than almost everything recognizable on Earth’s surface.
You were born.
But the life from which you emerged has been continuing for billions of years.
And for one brief interval in that immense history, it developed the ability to ask where it came from.

To be honest, I'm planning to buy some land in a small village and settle there.
AI is going to take over 80% of office jobs eventually. After that, people's lives will mostly be travel, chilling, and gaming.
Pick a spot with hills and rivers, and live that cyber life.
BREAKING: Microsoft $MSFT is offering buyouts to 60,000 employees as it cuts costs and reshapes its workforce for the AI era.
That means about 27% of its entire workforce is being offered a package to leave the company.
Meanwhile, Microsoft is on track to spend $175 billion on AI infrastructure this year, after cutting around 15,000 jobs last year.

I agree with you hard on this.
As a Chinese person, after graduation I tried starting a business and I tried buying Chinese stocks. I'm glad I never really launched the business. If I had, corrupt officials would have bled me dry by now.
After visiting a bunch of shop owners, I realized doing business in northern China mostly means paying officials. The Chinese stock market is even worse, packed with fraud.
I want the American life because at least there you can build something real with hard work. America has plenty of flaws. But it respects innovation and the spirit of going after something new. It gives people who dare to dream a real shot.
In backward countries, too many people just scheme to get inside the government and become a local bully. Once they hold administrative power, they shake down merchants and seize the wealth those people built. That cycle is hitting a new peak in China right now. Tax authorities are hunting Chinese wealthy people.
A culture and system like this leave capable people with only two choices: leave, or suck up to power and join the ones who use violence.
