This shit is so dumb, and every body pretending knows they are being willfully dumb as shit. They know this is precisely why the Dem brand is dog food but refuse to end their fuckery. It’s sick.

Richard Carlbom, the Minnesota DFL chair who led the stripping of @OmarFatehMN's Minneapolis mayoral endorsement, was a partner at a law firm hired by current mayor Jacob Frey. The de-endorsement of Fateh is a massive boost for Frey, an unpopular anti-progressive.

El-Sayed: "Don't get it twisted. I love America. I'm so grateful I get to raise my 2 daughters here in America. I just love America enough to call on her to be America for all of her kids."
Michelle Tafoya trying to pretend she is an independent and that strategy having half a chance of working is testament to how dumb voters are in America.

Me: "Even if it was unpopular, are you saying the Democratic Party should not speak out against the president sending migrants who have committed no crimes to be tortured in a foreign gulag?"
@mattyglesias: "Yeah."
Me: "Just stay silent?"
Yglesias: "I think that sometimes, if you want to help people... you gotta win first."
Me: "They might be dead in three years time, by the time you win."
Despite all the arguments on this hellsite over the exact number of his Piker tweets, this was the part of my interview with Matthew Yglesias that really stood out to me. I was actually stunned by this response. Shouldn't politics also stand for something more than triangulation, polling and 4-D chess strategizing?

TRUMP on HIGH GAS PRICES: We’re making money like we’ve never made before. They’ll say: President Trump is bragging about all the money they're making while people are suffering at the pump. I don’t give a damn. We’re making a freaking fortune.

He’s a fucking racist and there should literally be no debate about it.
This is racism. Plain and simple.

if I recall correctly, this film was made in part to counter tim burtons racist statement of black people not fitting his "aesthetic" which is such a baller move honestly. this movie looks beautiful and kat herself oozes charm
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Tim Burton did not say Black people don't fit his aesthetic. In 2016 he said diversity should fit the story, citing Brady Bunch tokenism. Wendell & Wild development started 2015; Peele wanted a Black lead for kids like him to see themselves.

Former Senatobia cop Foster who killed Kohen Wiley had 2 previous lawsuits for excessive force, one of them also mentioning that he exaggerated the threat by the vehicle he stepped in front of. Two Black men sued him for “viciously and repeatedly beating” them and claimed that Foster “conspired to charge them with crimes they did not commit” in a Waffle House parking lot in 2019 (video enclosed below).
A second lawsuit was filed by Katherine Jefferson (race unverified) who claimed that on 8/26/2022, they “tased her multiple times,” “stomped on her face breaking her jaw” and “knocked out multiple teeth” during a traffic stop.
