I’m 38 hours in and barely made it to the lake. There is so many side quests and hidden bosses that make the game so much fun. I do hate the back tracking since you can forget many side quest steps which is kinda annoying, but that’s just a personal preference

That’s my one gripe with these type of quests is that you shouldn’t be punished for exploring. Why does me going left first instead of right kill a quest?? There’s no indication of that and it ruins the fun of exploring without a guide. Games have to stop doing that it’s annoying
