Our golden era, the nonchoking back to back Dodgers championships during a full 162 season started with the acquisition of you two. I'll never forget that.
And I'll never forget you Teoscar. I hope you and your 9 HR, 28 RBI, and 21 runs scored in 41 postseason games stay with us

I know that this is hard for people who have never been involved in labor negotiations to understand, but I’m sorry, it just doesn’t matter what 68% of the consumers in an industry think about labor negotiations. It’s labor vs. management. Consumers don’t get a say in this

If it is your belief that my employment invalidates my opinion, you are entitled to it. I see myself as a Clevelander who is part of the 68% of Athletic subscribers who are in favor of a cap/floor system, because we genuinely feel this particular financial system is stupid.

Happy 52nd birthday to Wilton Guerrero. The brother of HOFer Vlad and uncle of Blue Jays star Vlad, Jr., Wilton made his debut with the Dodgers in 1996 and played parts of 3 seasons with the club. His time in LA was probably most noted for an infamous corked bat incident.

Anti-union rhetoric from a Pittsburgh Pirates fan is nasty work
Scott Boras is main culprit on why their will be a lockout this offseason. His horrific contracts have destroyed baseball.
The Top 1% of players and Scott Boras do NOT actually care about everyone else in the league. They only care about themselves.
Don't let MLBPA pretend like they care about guys like Nick Gonzales or Jake Mangum because they don't. They only care about the Juan Sotos and the Bryce Harpers. If they actually cared about every player, they would be in favor of a salary cap/floor.

His contract has already paid for itself.
He's a phenomenal pitcher and hitter. Does it need to be managed - of course.
Bill Plaschke has only proved himself a worthless analyst once again.

gotta be the worst baseball take i’ve ever heard, somebody need to drag that old man out back and do em like old yeller. enough is enough
Bill Plaschke says the Dodgers need to seriously consider trading Shohei Ohtani if he continues to insist on pitching
“This past season offered unassailable proof that Shohei Ohtani can no longer serve as both a full-time hitter and full-time pitcher. The Dodgers have no choice but to act on this truth and make a decision that is not only best for this team, but the long-term future of the organization. They need to pull him off the pitching mound permanently. And if he insists on continuing this detrimental charade, they need to seriously consider trading him.”

Happy 66th birthday to Franklin Stubbs. Stubbs debuted with the Dodgers in 1984 and played 6 seasons with LA before being traded to Houston. A member of the renowned Stunt Men on the 1988 Dodgers, Stubbs earned a ring that year when he started all 5 games of the WS.

Charles Barkley: "Should we be standing this close to Shaq?... He's been hanging out with Kash Patel. That's dangerous."
Ernie Johnson: "Oooh! Ooooh! Oh, I didn't know you were going there. But I should have known you would."

The owner of the New York Yankees, the most valuable franchise in MLB, is is full support of a salary cap
This should raise far more questions regarding the owner's driving purpose for implementing a cap (It has never been about competitive balance)

Happy 78th birthday to Bill Russell. Russell spent over a quarter of a century as a Dodger. In 18 years as a player, he was a 3-time AS, WS champ, and among the franchise leaders in games played (2nd) and hits (6th). He was also a longtime coach before managing LA for 3 years.
LMAOOO! That Skip Bayless wannabe Doug Douchebag (@DMAC_LA) blocked me for callin out his bullshit 😭😭🤣

Is he suggesting that Blake Snell should give up pitching, too?
Dude gets paid ONLY to pitch and has less innings than Ohtani since last year.

A 22-year-old Pedro Martinez deals for the Dodgers. (Photo by V.J. Lovero)
Before he was a Hall of Famer, before the three Cy Youngs, Pedro was a skinny kid the Dodgers didn't think could start — they used him almost exclusively in relief in 1993, and he still went 10-5 with a 2.61 ERA. That November, Los Angeles traded him to Montreal for Delino DeShields, one of the worst deals in franchise history. The Expos put him in the rotation, and the rest is Cooperstown.
⚾ The worst trade in Dodgers history? 👇️
