The next question is how many of these new Black governors also see themselves in the light of an economic transformation? Or is it all more of the same Obama neoliberalism mixed with voting rights? And Black politics really being about capitalist system maintenance.
This contentious interchange between the NY Times and @GinaHinojosaTX was truly amazing. Hinojosa offered one of the best explanations of populism I've ever seen. Her comments were a total rejection of Corporate Dems' neoliberal formula. Her Texas victory is a game changer.

All the legal scholarship agrees lineage based reparations makes a stronger case over raced based yet PAs disagree All the sociological scholarship agrees Afro-immigrants have lower racial consciousness than BAs yet PAs won't admit this What scholarship are PAs using exactly?
African Americans with a Pan African background usually are some of the most intelligent Black folks you can talk to. The reason is rather simple: Pan Africanism requires scholarship, historical context, and the prioritization of primary sources for data analysis.

So you have no opinion on how probate judges are elected in Georgia? splinter/FBA/B1 babble. For these people, sitting on the couch instead of LITERALLY changing the law is dOiNg ThE wUrK bOoTs On ThE gRoUnD...🤦🏾‍♂️
As an eligible voter in GA, I'm sitting this election out. Withholding our vote is the only leverage we have. We must keep costing the Dems until they seriously prioritize our issues & demands. The days of being captured electorate while the Dems prioritize other groups, including illegals, is over.

D.C. has the widest racial wealth gap in the US, per new WalletHub data: white residents earn ~64% more, Black poverty rate is 374% higher. Nationally: $250,400 median wealth for white households vs $24,520 for Black. Policy can close this. jbhe.com/2026/02/research-fi…

Instead of addressing how immigration drives down wages, paves the way for the gentrification of Black American neighborhoods, and the anti-black biases many immigrants exhibit, many people have simply chosen to label anyone who brings these issues up as xenophobic

There has always been collaboration and conflict James Eason, known as the “Leader of American Negroes” within Garvey's UNIA (which itself begs the question), was assassinated allegedly by Garvey loyalists in 1923 after his fallout with Garvey over him favoring Caribbeans
Marcus Garvey was Jamaican. He built the largest Black mass movement of his era in Harlem. Caribbean and Black American unity is older than the arguments.
