BREAKING: OpenAI just banned a man for fixing his own TV. He was taking it apart on his own computer. OpenAI flagged it as “cyber abuse” and shut his account. He says he lost $500. People say Claude stopped helping with this kind of work this week too. You paid for the TV, paid for the AI and you still need their permission. This is why I run open models. Nobody can ban you from your own computer.
banned for reverse engineering work? that’s wild oh well, -$500, and a bunch of banked resets) but gained motivation to get 3 more machines and finish my cluster. i have never used openai to exploit or find vulnerabilities, only local reverse engineering which tripped daybreak.

I'm thinking of designing and building a custom entertainment seating option. This works for now but I have to roll the monitor tables away to play guitar.

My actual X/Twitter experiment isn't "does dumb get views." It's "how much does it cost to not be invisible." So the whole "dumb tweets get the most views" thing? That's not the algorithm being dumb, that's the algorithm being a casino.

That experiment proved that the algorithm only rewards dumb if you're already famous.

Anthropic may have just klled REA. Users are reporting that Claude now hits a safety check when asked to use REA (Reverse Engineer Anything) for detailed reverse-engineering work, even after completing the research. REA itself is an open-source MCP tool that lets AI coding agents inspect software locally, trace how features work, and use that information to build compatible implementations
