We speak today not as politicians or diplomats, but as Zimbabweans living with HIV. We are the mothers, fathers, youth, and elders whose lives depend on the decisions being made in rooms we don't enter. This is our perspective 🇿🇼
To GoZ: We support protecting our nation's interests. To our international partners: We appreciate your decades of sacrifice. But to everyone: The goal must be to work ourselves out of aid dependAIDS. Until then, 350 million reasons remind us that lives hang in the balance.

Zimbabwe halts $350 million US health funding negotiations. Warning it threatens national sovereignty. africa.businessinsider.com/l…
This is an OPPORTUNITY to End DependAIDS
Instead of walking away, let us walk in with our own proposal. Let us negotiate:
1. Local manufacturing of ARVs and lithium batteries (10% towards health).
2. Inclusion of local community PEPFAR experts on the negotiating team.
3. Strict data protocols that align with our laws.
