By now most of us know the importance of drinking enough water, but do we all do it?
Become mindful of the amount of water you drink and if it’s not enough thinkabout ways to introduce drinking more water into your day yourwateryourlife.co.uk/your…

Write it on your heart
by Ralph Waldo Emerson
Write it on your heart
that every day is the best day in the year.
He is rich who owns the day, and no one owns the day
who allows it to be invaded with fret and anxiety.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and absurdities, no doubt crept in.
Forget them as soon as you can, tomorrow is a new day;
begin it well and serenely, with too high a spirit
to be cumbered with your old nonsense.
This new day is too dear,
with its hopes and invitations,
to waste a moment on the yesterdays.

If you are thinking of setting some new goals for 2026 then this piece may be of interest copescotland.com/resources/g… What matters is that the goals have meaning for you and something you want to find the motivation to achieve. Being kind is a simple goal to set, to be kind to ourselves, each other and the planet, even one small action at a time😀

Really impressed with the work being done by our 4th year group from @johnpaulacademy
Building on the joinery skills they developed last year, the group have stepped up to a larger-scale project. Together, they have designed and are now building an outdoor garden kitchen for the DRC allotment space, bringing planning, teamwork and practical skills together.
The young people are being supported throughout by our trained youth workers alongside a professional tradesperson, helping them learn safely, build confidence and develop industry-relevant skills in a real working environment.
Over the past few weeks, the progress has been great to see. The garden kitchen is really taking shape, and the group are starting to take real pride in what they’re creating. The young people are flying through tasks, growing in confidence with tools and working more independently as the project develops.
There’s been some cracking graft put in, with key stages completed, including structural work and getting the roof fixed. Alongside the practical skills, they’re also learning about responsibility, problem-solving and working through challenges together.
A strong piece of work from the group, looking forward to seeing it completed in months ahead.
