First big disappointment in the OAI models in a year or so. Astra seems to be far less reliable than Sol 5.6 high for coding. Astra just ignores A LOT of things and goes off the rails so, so often. It completely wrecks code bases with nonsense in hands of juniors. @thsottiaux

TrimWM is now public: a fast, animation-free tiling WM for Apple Silicon Macs, combining Niri-style scrolling columns with i3-style autotiling.
Free, open source and notarized:
github.com/cornz/TrimWM
The layouts are inspired by Niri and i3-autotiling. I also learned from AeroSpace’s clean model and OmniWM’s speed-oriented approach. TrimWM is not a fork, just a focused macOS WM built around the workflow I wanted.
brew tap cornz/tap
brew install --cask trimwm
It currently targets Apple Silicon and macOS 26. Feedback and reproducible bug reports are very welcome.
