During the above occurrences initiated by the Thai side, the Cambodian forces did not retaliate at all. The Cambodian forces strictly adhered to the principle of maintaining maximum restraint and fully implemented the ceasefire agreement between Cambodia and Thailand, which entered into force at 24 hours (local time) on July 28, 2025. It is worth recalling that the ceasefire agreement, was reached in a special meeting held on July 28, 2025, in Putrajaya, through the direct efforts of President Donald J. Trump, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, and with active participation from the People's Republic of China. As of September 27, 2025, it has been 60 days since the ceasefire took effect. The Ministry of National Defence wishes to clarify that, according to the report from the Cambodian forces at the frontline, the situation remained calm at the frontline from 12:46 PM to 6:30 PM. However, following the cessation of Thai shelling with many shots of mortar and small arms on Cambodian positions, it was reported that several buildings were damaged. In the meantime, the Cambodian forces continue to monitor the situation with utmost caution and remain vigilant to the developments; and they are fully prepared to fulfill their duties in defending Cambodia's sovereignty, without compromise. The Cambodian forces reaffirm their strong commitment to respecting and fully implementing the ceasefire agreement with Thailand, emphasizing the continuation of close cooperation at all levels, seeking genuine collaboration, to promote peace and stability between the two countries, and a swift return to normalcy.
