With all the talk of British identity this week, I'd like to express support for a Right of Return for the descendants of those who fled the Highland Clearances, and those sent to penal colonies in the Americas and Australia.
As someone from the Campbell clan which participated in the Clearances, I'd like the government to formally recognise the process as an atrocity, and make amends for the injustice by at the very least offering full residency rights to the descendants of those forced to leave their homes.
It's time to face up to the past and bring the diaspora back home.

It's been reported by the Telegraph that Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered Israel to support Argentina on the Falklands over Britain.
Why should Britain be expected to defend Israel's national interests if Israel's leadership refuses to respect ours?
Britain is not obliged to give any foreign government unconditional political or military support.
Our foreign policy should be guided by British interests, and British interests only - that is the Restore Britain position.
The Falkland Islands are British, and will remain British.

The New York Post just published the marriage certificate of the sister of Ilhan Omar’s ‘brother husband’ who lived with him in the UK.
She lists their father as ‘Nur Said Elmi’ and his says he is a “military officer”.
This lines up with Leila Nur Said also being Ilhan’s sister, which even further proves Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, who Ilhan married, is also her brother.
Yikes.

It's a good idea to host a compromised foreign politician's gay brother to do a PhD in How To Destabilise East Africa Using Its Homosexuals Studies in case we ever need to blackmail the politician or destabilise East Africa.
Meet Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, the man Ilhan Omar married in 2009.
All signs point to him now being a PhD student at Bristol University in England. In a paper he published in 2026, he writes: "As a gay man of the East African diaspora, my fieldwork was never neutral."
His thesis? "Bravery amidst Brutality: A Queer Resistance to Violence and Criminalisation in Contemporary Kenya."
The British government is paying for it with a full scholarship. His big idea is that Western research needs "decolonising." He's arguing that from a Western university, on Western taxpayers' money.
From October to December 2025, he helped curate an African LGBTQ+ art show at a gay and lesbian archive in Johannesburg.
It would be more honourable if the Home Office just took bribes for visas instead of making people do these bullshit degrees as a path to residency.
Somewhere in Kelston, on the road between Bristol and Bath, a pothole has been there for so long it now has its own postcode.

Officials propose working with churches to promote “theological resilience” against the use of Christian teachings to justify hatred or violence.
I obtained dozens of pages from RICU’s report on “Christian extremism”. Among the findings:
• Images of happy families in wartime, peaceful countryside and classical statues are described as a “hook” towards an extremist worldview.
• Tommy Robinson’s rallies and a Christmas carol concert come under scrutiny, alongside Christian fitness groups.
• “Bob from Speakers’ Corner” features, despite RICU identifying no extremist content from him.
Yet the report acknowledges that the threat of violence from Christian extremists remains “low”.

Review: Quite amusing. Sits within the general popular science/politics field well. If you've listened to Audible psychology books and kept up with X debates, you'll recognise most of the examples.
Compared to the usual pop psychology books that use Nazis as the ultimate evil, this one barely mentioned WW2. It was focused on Islamists and Muslims in general as the bad guys, interspersed with positive references to Jewish people.
Through a series of anecdotes, it draws the lines of the West around Jewish people, marking the Muslims who live next to them in the same region as non-Western. There's no historical context about how the 19th C and early 20th C waves of terrorism in the West often carried out by E European Jewish immigrants (anarchist, communist, Zionist ones in particular) preceded their integration, it just starts with the idea that you should reject groups with terrorists in as a whole. Not self-aware in that respect. Taken to its logical conclusion, his community would also be rejected or at least his argument would fall apart.
It's trying to give the reader a broad identity as Western, including the author but not including his neighbours who are very similar once you get to know them.
Lots of high conflict vocabulary and emotive language typical of N American dramatic political culture.
