Pastors do not get a special exemption from careful and truthful speech because provocative imprecision builds an audience. James gives teachers the opposite burden: greater influence brings greater accountability. An occasional poorly chosen phrase calls for charity, but a recurring pattern of maximalist statements followed by minimalist clarifications calls for scrutiny. And we don’t have to know the speaker’s motives to recognize the pattern.

September 14th Our Daily Leadership Message and Guard Rails ourdailytopics.wordpress.com… The 💥 💥 💥 For Today @F3Nation Get in the arena. Don't spend your life watching, judging, or waiting for certainty. Instead: •Take the meaningful risk. •Start the project. •Have the difficult conversation. •Pursue the goal that matters to you. •Accept that failure is possible and act anyway. A practical daily call to action might be: @dreddcnc "Today, I will take one courageous step toward something important, even if I cannot guarantee success." That is what Roosevelt meant by "daring greatly": choosing courageous action over comfortable observation.

Why is it ‘cancelled’ in the U.K. but ‘canceled’ in the U.S.? Because we gave them that L in 1776.

"Bread and circuses": To mark Trump's birthday, UFC fights are taking place in front of the White House today for the first time. While the US grapples with political crises, social division, and the consequences of his own policies, Trump stages bloody cage fights in front of the White House to mark his birthday. This is reminiscent less of a modern democracy than of ancient Rome: bread and circuses—spectacle over responsibility. A president who turns the nation’s highest institution into a stage for bloody entertainment reveals one thing above all: his penchant for self-aggrandizement, displays of power, and distraction from the country’s actual problems.

If a man claims to believe anything, it is part of his masculine duty to deepen his understanding of it. A belief that cannot stand up to scrutiny and that a man cannot defend is a child’s wish. @F3Nation

It’s the first step of submission to a higher power. We don’t tell a man what or whom to believe in, but we do tell him that he needs to believe he’s not the king of the universe. @F3Nation

this is not hormonal "What most concerned the Pietists were matters of the heart. The emotional and experiential aspects of the Christian life were elevated above doctrinal clarity, confessional identity, and church structure."
it's not pietist vs. offensive Christianity, it's pietism vs. confessionalism

When people take Jesus’ name in vain, they reveal a blindness deeper than profanity. Even the demons see what they deny — that the Second Adam is enthroned and coming in judgment. Fallen humanity mocks the Name; unclean spirits tremble before it. Profanity isn’t boldness. It’s eschatological ignorance. The very Name they misuse is the Name that will judge the living and the dead. #CovenantalArchitecture #SecondAdam #Eschatology #NameAboveEveryName #SpeechAsLiturgy #BiblicalAnthropology #Christology #Judgment #Theology #CanonicalArchitecture

So much of the Christian life can be boiled down to two simple truths. 1. You are no longer your own. You belong to Christ. 2. You are no longer 𝘰𝘯 your own. He gave you the church.

Most of Paul’s imperatives get flattened into pietistic micro‑commands. But Paul isn’t handing out tiny devotional chores. He’s naming the resurrection‑age anthropology of the new humanity. “Rejoice.” “Give thanks.” “Walk by the Spirit.” These aren’t little tasks to perform; they’re the lived texture of those who already share in Christ’s risen life. Paul’s grammar is covenantal: the indicative of the resurrection generates the imperative of the new creation. He’s describing what the Spirit‑formed people are inside the age that has already dawned. Reduce these to moral checklists and the architecture collapses. Read them as identity markers of the eschatological people—and the whole Pauline frame locks into place. #ResurrectionAnthropology
