Arya jumping out of nowhere to take down the Night King during the Battle of Winterfell remains one of the wildest franchise climaxes ever. Pure shock value.
If you could rewrite the conclusion of any major fantasy series, who should have landed the final blow?

Gandalf is arguably the greatest character in cinematic history, and the older you get, the more you understand why.
He is one of the most powerful beings in Middle-earth, yet he chooses humility over domination.
He could walk among kings, but prefers the company of Hobbits.
He possesses ancient wisdom, but never pretends to know everything.
He inspires courage without demanding obedience.
He confronts unimaginable evil, not because he believes himself invincible, but because someone has to stand against it.
He understands that the fate of the world is not determined solely by armies, kings or great powers, but by the seemingly insignificant acts of ordinary people.
He sees greatness in those who cannot see it in themselves.
He falls into the abyss fighting a demon from the ancient world, sacrificing himself so that his friends might live.
And when he returns, more powerful than ever, he remains fundamentally unchanged in character.
No arrogance. No hunger for power. No desire to rule.
Just wisdom, compassion, humour, courage and an unwavering commitment to what is good.
And perhaps his greatest lesson is that evil is not ultimately defeated by becoming more powerful than it, but by refusing to become like it.
Gandalf isn’t simply a great fictional character.
He’s a representation of everything humanity should aspire to become.

The journey of Arya and Sandor Clegane was an integral part to how each of their characters developed. The Hound taught Arya a lot, even if it wasn't pretty lessons...

🌊 The Coastal Flood Advisory has now been extended through Friday with up to 2.1 ft of inundation possible in low-lying coastal & bayshore areas during peak high tides.
Never drive through flooded roads! #CAwx

ALT A Coastal Flood Advisory for the Bayshore locations along the San Pablo, San Francisco, and Monterey Bays and low-lying areas along the Pacific coast has been extended through Friday with up to 2.1 feet of inundation possible near high tide. Minor flooding may cause road closures in low-lying coastal areas—allow extra travel time. Do NOT drive around barricades or through flooded roadways of unknown depth. Take necessary precautions to secure flood-prone property near tidal areas.

I'd give anything to hear the screen door slam one more time in the summer of 1978. Mom yelling about the flies, Dad cutting the grass, my whole childhood still ahead of me.
Funny how the days we wanted to escape became the ones we'd give anything to relive.

Monday, October 26, 2026, 7:03 PM: The latest satellite reveals a formidable storm axis developing in the central Pacific, roughly 500 miles west of Malibu, California. This storm is gaining strength, fueled by the exceptionally warm sea surface temperatures linked to the powerful El Niño off the coast of Peru, currently at 4.4 degrees Celsius.
Uncharacteristically for this latitude, the storm is set to intensify over the next 24 to 42 hours. The 552 DM low-pressure axis has more in store for Southern California and potentially Arizona, with thunderstorms likely to expand around this system. In the past 32 hours, I’ve observed more convective parameters taking shape, which could elevate the risk of severe weather late Friday from 4 PM through Halloween at 11 PM. I'm watching this closely in the next 24 - 36 hours; rainfall totals are likely to increase across our region. #CAwx #californiastorms #ElNiño
