Pretty clear Cal needs to either 1) change the HC or 2) keep the HC and completely overhaul the OC/DC/assistants
Both options messy + costly. 2) is probably the way to go 🤷♂️

Tosh Lupoi on the return of Adam Mohammed
“Mad respect. There’s so many guys who I can name off, guys that are questionable throughout the week and either getting limited or no practice reps. Lost another guy to concussion protocol in Daniel Harris. Battling through it man. This will be an opportunity to restore as much health as possible.”

JKS on what’s preventing Cal from getting momentum back in these games
“I think it’s really just sticking as a team. Just not allowing ourselves to be defeated, and I think we’re going to continue to grow from these moments. Blessed to be able to rest our bodies and just try to figure these things out.”

Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele on a time where he’s faced this level of adversity and his response then
“I definitely say when I first transitioned to being QB. Couldn’t throw the ball, it was a hard transition. Just stay close to God. We’re in a little bit of a pit right now. I’m just excited to continue to grow and I think it’s really these moments where people grow the most.”

Hilarious: Derek Carr reveals he dropped off Marshawn Lynch in the middle of Oakland in the "hood" and Marshawn's reaction is unreal.
Marshawn: "In the hood, n***a! Hey, they talkin about, you got DC in the hood? Hell yeah!"

Cal HC Tosh Lupoi on his message postgame
“Main message postgame was, I’m not going to give up. That’s one thing, I can promise you that. Fighting my ass off…I’m as sick as anybody. You hear the story, tied or winning at halftime. I believe in them, I believe they’ll reflect myself as far as continuing to fight.”

Cal QB Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele after the loss:
“It’s really these moments where people grow the most, through the hard times. It’s so easy to be lackadaisical and think everything's all good when things are going great. But the tough moments show people's true character.

“We’re struggling right now, and it's obvious. We just got to go back to the drawing board, continue to work at it. Like Coach Tosh said, not give up. We’re gonna keep trying to figure out a way … we're gonna fix it.”

FWIW we went 1-11, 5-7, and 8-5 with a #1 overall draft pick and 5+ NFL players just on offense. Yes there were less expectations when we got started but the progression took time. To see what we are gonna be as a program unfortunately it’s gonna take time and making significant changes will only restart the process. I know it doesn’t help much but thats where we are. Pour a drink and hang in there Cal fam.
