Heartbreaking to hear that Ciara Mageaan has passed away this morning.
A champion in every sense of the word and a role model for all athletes.
She represented her country with pride and helped put Irish athletics on the map. An Olympian and European Champion showed the clear talent she had.
And just like her sport, she faced her cancer diagnosis with bravery and determination.
Ciara's legacy will live on and she will continue to be an inspiration to many.
To her husband, Thomas, her family and friends our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Ciara Mageean died this morning. A light has gone out in the world. Authentic, talented, decent. Her kindness and wonderful personality was a joy to watch and see. Then came her iconic sporting achievements.
When we sat down with Ciara for the GAA Social in July, she received disappointing news the day before. Ciara didn’t want to cancel, so we recorded on the Tuesday. It’s 90 minutes Oisin & myself will always treasure. She was the best of us.
To Thomas, I’m so sorry. She was mad about you. To the Mageean family, all her great friends and the Portaferry community- what a stunning human being, to call one of your own. This is so unfair.
I’ve never met a person who met Ciara, who didn’t love her. A one off.

It's only when news like this breaks that your realize the absolute cesspit this country has been over the past month. Ciara wasthe sort of person all our youth should be emulating and admiring rather than the utter scum trying to create division and hatred. RIP🥲

Can the FA just nip this shit in the bud right now and make it a lifetime, all-stadium ban if you wave a photo of Bradley Lowery at Sunderland fans to taunt them. It’s beyond sick and this isn’t the first time it’s happened either.

There’s a special place in hell for people who surrender senior dogs after having spent their entire lives with them. Seriously, fuck you.

Our game against Brighton today is not just another fixture. This is our opportunity to send a statement to the Premier League and remind everyone why we are the deserved champions.
We will demolish Brighton, 5-1. With Arsenal set to face Liverpool tomorrow, they’ll definitely drop points. This is us capitalizing. Be there!

Congratulations to Ryan O’Donoghue on being named Footballer of the Year. A fantastic achievement and thoroughly deserved after an outstanding season. What a way for the man from Belmullet to cap off a brilliant year. 👏

O’Donoghue put on a tour de force to win the All Ireland. David Clifford played below his best. Ergo this particular year Ryan O’Donoghue was POTY. Clifford’s superior talent doesn’t give him a divine right to the award.

Happy clip of the ponies & #Eli...when he tried his best to be a pony. That all changed when Ellie arrived & Eli was really home 💕
