That same day, the statue was crying as if the real Ron saw two black people on the same day. Then his hands and face started melting. The statue was made of gallium, which has the melting point of 86°F. The high that day was 89 degrees. This wasn't a mistake. It was done on purpose. On the inscription on the base of the statue it read, "H.R.1645" which was a state law signed by DeSantis which mandated the erasure of the term "climate change" from all state laws. The inscription also had a DeSantis quote, "I am not a global warming person." The statue was erected by a climate activist group called 350 Action. They wanted to show the consequences of climate change and DeSantis ignoring it. The artist gave this statue the title, "Denial".
