◙MORE: I-85 NB got shut down at exit 23 at 2:45 this morning. And it sounds like a very serious crash. It may be an extended shut down which means a difficult drive for thousands of us who usually use I-85 NB. US 74 is your route for now...but that will fill up soon.

That’s a lie. I’ve known Whatley for years and he’s never supported pedophiles. Good grief. It’s sad you’ve believed Cooper’s crap.
It is a sin not to know the conclusion of the whole matter before you public slander a man.

If you’re still confused about who to vote for in the midterms, here’s something to think about. The Democrat Party largely supports puberty blockers, gender transitioning, and what they call “gender-affirming care.” The Republican Party supports the fact of two genders—biological male and biological female—as God created us. Period. You need to decide who you want running this country. You choose. Pray for our nation, and, by all means, VOTE.

ICE arrested Ricardo Portillo Guzman of El Salvador in east Charlotte on Wednesday in a targeted operation.
According to ICE, his past criminal history includes felony selling amphetamine, felony carrying a prohibited weapon, felony carrying a concealed weapon, and animal conservation and cruelty.
ICE says Guzman illegally entered the United States in 1988 and later obtained a green card but "due to his criminal behavior, he was determined to be removeable from the United States."
Siembra NC held a news conference about the arrest today.
The arrest happened at the corner of Idlewild and Idlebrook. Guzman's brother, a US citizen, says he was briefly detained but then released. He was driving Guzman at the time of the arrest. He says ICE agents broke his windows and pointed guns at him. A spokesperson for ICE says "law enforcement officers are trained to use the minimum amount of force necessary to resolve dangerous situations to prioritize the safety of the public and our officers."

This is not the only restaurant out in the area at Norrthlake mall that has close proximity n Charlotte NC, also @redrobinburgers @ontheborder.
@TGIFridays the Restaurant chain has always been great about honoring Veterans with a free meal on Veterans Day, and to Teachers, for our first responders. And the price of running a restaurant has gotten even more expensive. Adding to the cost Naggy shared that often that gesture of a free meal is not reciprocated and customers don’t come back and buy meals. Red Robin always gave veterans a Burger and on the border also honored veterans .

@TGIFridays closed down in the Charlotte Northlake area and the restaurant signs were being removed. I spoke to Naggy who has been a manager for 20 years at several Fridays locations, he shared that he has watched 4 locations close down now, Greenville, Steelcreek, Concord Mills and now @NorthlakeMall. It’s sad, I just had a great burger there last week. Never Forget! Six incontrovertible examples of Roy Cooper’s mismanagement as governor of NC:
Roy Cooper’s 2019 veto of the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act (Senate Bill 359)
Mismanaged long-term hurricane recovery (Matthew 2016 and Florence 2018)
Prolonged COVID-19 school closures and resulting learning loss
Closed all churches and fitness centers while allowing liquor and hardware stores to open without restrictions
COVID-era prison population reduction settlement and subsequent recidivism
Cooper repeatedly vetoed Republican bills that would have required county sheriffs to honor ICE detainers (requests to hold people already in local custody, often after arrests for crimes, so federal agents could take them)

Finding turnout gear for a 6-foot-5, 330-pound NFL defensive tackle isn't exactly an everyday request for Charlotte Fire, but we made it happen!
Carolina Panthers defensive tackle Derrick Brown, No. 95, traded his football gear for Charlotte Fire turnout gear today at Firehouse 11, joining our Rescue 11 and Engine 11 crews for a hands-on vehicle extrication demonstration. And we've got to give him credit. He handled the powerful Jaws of Life equipment impressively well, getting a firsthand look at the strength, skill and precision firefighters use to rescue people trapped in vehicles.
But behind the excitement was an important message. During National Teen Driver Safety Week, we're reminding young drivers that the decisions they make behind the wheel can have life-changing consequences. Our firefighters see those consequences firsthand, and preventing crashes is always better than responding to them.
A big thank you to USAA for bringing this event together, to Derrick Brown for stepping into our world for a morning, and to our Rescue 11 and Engine 11 crews for helping make today's demonstration a success.
