#StormAusten has caused disruption across the SW but there are positives! Beach defences exposed at Budleigh beach. These anti tank traps are usually buried by tonnes of pebbles, but today are free! They were disguised by being placed under beach huts! @almurray @WeHaveWaysPod

Two Aux Units badges sold recently. Both quite badly damaged but still going for plenty of money. Shows that the profile of the Aux Units continues to rise - which has to be a good thing.

#OTD 86-years ago, War Minister Anthony Eden delivered his appeal to the country. The avg age of the LDV/Home Guard was mid-30's - not the old men portrayed in Dad's Army, but an effective anti-invasion force, with previous military experience from the FWW just 22 years before.

In today's @Daily_Express covering the doc I made with Dan Snow & @HistoryHit it features the brilliant Ken Welch. The bunker he & his patrol operated in during the war has been found and we managed to get him there for the first time in 80 yrs! Thanks as always to @MattNixson
