"You look way prettier than your sister today!"

Thor - B-tier
Kenneth Branagh's visual style is all over the place. The design for Asgard is perfect but the Dutch angles are insane. Hemsworth, Portman, and Dennings are unfortunately forgettable but Hopkins and especially Hiddleston carry the day. A fine coming-of-age tale that does a good job of introducing the supernatural and setting up Avengers without feeling as ham-fisted.
Avengers Infinity War - B-tier
Gets a lot of credit for bringing a ton of characters in a way that makes them feel mostly balanced and well-utilized, and Brolin's Thanos is a near-perfect villain. Some spotty CGI at times and the pace drags every time Tyrion is on screen. Really fun to see characters interact but also too disjointed across different groups to feel like an Avengers movie. The assassination of Star-Lord's character is a huge disappointment. Overall a fun but also miserable watch.

The Church Fathers unanimously taught that Super Mario Bros. 3 is the best video game ever.
You won't find a single quote from a Church Father explicitly saying that any video game is better than Super Mario Bros 3.

I will never jump on the Greta Van Fleet hate train. Like yes they're very obviously Diet Led Zeppelin but for one thing I don't really see how that's a bad thing in a sea of dogshit pop artists and for another that's what people said about Rush in their early days
HBO's @LastWeekTonight has a long track record of citing social science findings without the appropriate context, massaging them to support whatever point @iamjohnoliver is trying to make.
