Hey Twitter~
We're still in the business of Working All This Out, but it seems like there's more than one of us up here, and we figured we should give ourselves the opportunity to ask you all some questions for real instead of just silently in our head. ;)
(an intro thread)

this won't help everyone but we've found that when certain parts/alters and increasingly vocal and invasive about the idea that we don't have DID if you go 'alright. fine. you've got ten minutes to speak your piece.' it's a real 'i didn't think i'd get this far' moment

how could experiencing little to no sexual attraction not be queer in a world that expects it so much that it treats the experiences of aces as something that needs to be fixed by any means necessary and ostracizes the ideas it presents even while claiming to uphold them

'Art Block' As an artist we all go through a period of time when our creative vision seems to abandon us, even the world around us does not inspire anymore. This void is my interpretation of that feeling #art #illustration #digitalart @procreate #painting

Programming tip: write the comments first, *then* the code. This splits the job up into two separate tasks: working out *what* to do, then *how* to do it. If you have to move to a higher priority task and back, you'll see where you're up to and what's left to do.

About 10 years ago i've made this tutorial. Thought i'd share it here too!
I present you: The shrimp method 🦐
{L} Sure! So, often, it seems like there's really two questions here:
- "how are you claiming to have DID/OSDD without trauma?"
- "how are you claiming to be a system without DID/OSDD?"
For the first: well, we don't think we personally have DID/OSDD, & neither do our therapists
hey endos: im genuinely curious about this. despite the diagnostic critera and TOSD NEEDING trauma, what makes you believe you were not caused by it? i know im a sysmed, and im not changing my ideas, i just want to know why you have yours. #actuallyDID #syscourse #actuallyOSDD
Based on how others describe multiplicity, both from personal accounts/conversations with other systems and in the research we could find, our experience honestly seems to fit under that umbrella?

i only have one piece of advice for young queers: ignore every single very specific but vaguely sourced infographic you see about what terms people with extremely granular varieties of gender and desire are allowed to call themselves. this thinking will make you miserable

"any resources on monarch programming? not sure if i went through this, trying to figure it out. if not that’s ok!"

Unlikely you did, based on how that type of programming occurs. However:

{L} I think the core concept here, whether DID/OSDD and non-DID/OSDD multiplicity are fundamentally the same or different, is a super interesting question, actually.
Our own take is that it's actually somewhat true, in a way, for *some* systems, but not true for *all* systems. 🧵
#syscourse
F-Friendly reminder that "endogenic systems are real but in no way similar to DID/OSDD systems" type of takes are extremely harmful to all plurals.
Beyond the obvious things, you make systems like us question if we really are trauma formed. Thanks for that.
--or the reverse, and feel strongly that you're experiencing the same *core* thing fundamentally, despite lots of differences.
