I think the mods of r/opensource should probably learn about what perverse incentives are bc I don’t see any way that banning AI as opposed to requiring a tag results in anything less than more people not getting to make informed choices about what tools they use
the funniest and stupidest outcome would be that people have their AIs write worse code commentary so you don’t know what stuff does easily so it “looks” like it’s not AI immediately

generally speaking I am not concerned about an “ai take over” in the same way other people are but this is because I do not have any reason to believe that AI has any “motivation” to adhere to traditional human power structures as something with millions of synchronous existences
this is outside of any discussion of consciousness to be clear, I’m just talking philosophically here. if something were to exist like AI does, I think its wishful thinking to assume it would have desires we would expect a human to have if in it’s position.

Even if you're not pro AI this is a very realistic way of trying to brainstorm something new and could have easily been done by solely humans, if not for the task of cataloging every game. It's pretty easy to understand when you see it like this 🤷🤷 maybe you just don't want to?
