I didn't learn The Lord's Prayer in Sunday School. I LEARNED THE LORD'S PRAYER IN PUBLIC SCHOOL! We said it every morning, before the Pledge of Allegiance! We said a blessing before lunch, and read from Scripture. The 10 Commandments hung on the wall. And nobody got shot

Keisha, there’s nothing ā€œsillyā€ about punishing criminals who set property on fire, loot businesses, and target innocent Georgians. Bad mayors don’t make good governors.

God bless this caring teacher. This is heartbreaking. But it is also, as predicted. And it didn't just happen to the "black & brown" kids. This is what we warned about when we fought against Common Core starting in 2010. The kids he's working with are the Common Core generation. And they didn't receive a proper education.
ā€œThese are 17- and 18-year-old kids, and they couldn’t fill in four words. Four words!ā€ Darius Williams, a teacher at Wheatley High School in Houston, Texas, was overcome with emotion on only the second day of the school year when he discovered that several of his high school seniors could not complete a simple literacy exercise. In a viral video filmed during his lunch break, a tearful Williams described how, even after guiding students carefully through a reading assignment and nearly supplying the answers himself, many of his 17- and 18-year-old pupils still could not complete a four-word sentence. He emphasized that the same students were fully capable of expressing sophisticated ideas and engaging in thoughtful verbal debate. Their difficulty appeared only when they tried to convert those ideas into written language. The emotional video has spread quickly across social media and drawn attention to what many education specialists describe as a widespread literacy crisis in the United States. Some online observers have pointed to the influence of technology, citing research that links increased use of artificial intelligence tools with declining literacy skills among young people. Others have criticized educational policies that discourage holding back struggling students. Still others have stressed that the roots of the problem often lie in limited parental support at home. Williams’s visible distress has highlighted the heavy burden carried by public school teachers as they work to close large academic gaps and equip students with the basic skills required for adult life.

It's also time to get Common Core's "college and career-ready" nonsense out of the ESSA Federal education statute! We can't fix education until every vestige of Common Core is GONE.
It’s time to RETURN EDUCATION TO THE STATES!

You can dislike Donald Trump. You can despise his personality, reject his politics, and criticize every word that comes out of his mouth. That is your prerogative. šŸ›‘BUT YOU CANNOT ERASE WHAT HE HAS DONE FOR BLACK AMERICANS SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU HATE THE MAN!šŸ›‘ Let’s examine the historical record instead of recycling partisan talking points. In 2018, Donald Trump signed the bipartisan First Step Act, reforming federal sentencing laws, reducing certain mandatory penalties, and expanding opportunities for incarcerated individuals to earn earlier release. These reforms addressed sentencing disparities that disproportionately affected Black Americans. In 2019, Trump signed the FUTURE Act, securing $255 million in permanent annual federal funding for Historically Black Colleges and Universities and other minority-serving institutions. In 2020, he signed the HBCU PARTNERS Act, strengthening federal support and coordination for historically Black colleges. During his first administration, Black unemployment reached historically low levels before the pandemic. Black poverty fell to 16.3% in 2019, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. These improvements were part of longer economic trends, but they occurred during his presidency. Trump also signed legislation establishing Opportunity Zones, encouraging private investment in economically distressed communities. The extent to which those investments benefited existing residents remains a legitimate subject of debate. In April 2025, Trump established a new White House initiative supporting HBCU research, innovation, infrastructure, and workforce development. His administration also reported more than $1.3 billion in Department of Education support for HBCUs during fiscal year 2025. NOW HERE IS WHERE THE HYPOCRISY BECOMES PARTICULARLY DISQUIETING! When Donald Trump signs criminal justice reform that benefits Black Americans, you call him a racist. When he signs legislation securing permanent funding for Black colleges, you call him a racist. When Black unemployment reaches historic lows during his administration, you refuse to acknowledge the numbers. When he supports historically Black educational institutions, you dismiss the accomplishments because you despise the man responsible. And then you turn around and call the people who acknowledge these documented accomplishments ā€œMAGGOTSā€? LET ME MAKE SOMETHING PERFECTLY CLEAR! If recognizing criminal justice reform, educational investment, and measurable improvements in Black economic conditions makes somebody a ā€œMAGGOTā€ in your eyes, then perhaps the problem is not the person examining the evidence. Perhaps the problem is your own selective indignation. And if your contempt for Donald Trump is so consuming that you cannot acknowledge a single policy benefiting Black Americans, then your claim to care about Black advancement deserves serious scrutiny. Because if these accomplishments are what you call ā€œMAGGOT,ā€ while dismissing the Black Americans who benefited from them, THEN YOUR OWN RACIAL PREJUDICES DESERVE EXAMINATION! Your political animosity does not invalidate federal legislation. Your insults do not overturn Census Bureau statistics. Your hatred does not erase appropriations to historically Black institutions. And your partisan allegiance does not give you exclusive authority to decide what constitutes progress for Black Americans. I am interested in outcomes, not political worship. I will examine Trump’s failures just as readily as his accomplishments, and I expect that same intellectual honesty from anyone criticizing him. BLACK AMERICANS ARE NOT PROPERTY OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY! We are capable of evaluating policies, examining evidence, and making independent judgments without asking political operatives for permission. If you want to challenge the record, bring documentation. If all you have are insults, you have brought nothing to the discussion. #AStoneGroove #SilentMajoritySpeaks

Why should strangers get the BEST years of your children’s lives while parents miss out on the moments that matter most? Society has convinced mothers that staying home means sacrificing their potential, but raising children and being present for their most important years is one of the most valuable things a mother can do. The most precious years of childhood are irreplaceable. Homeschooling allows parents to experience them.

indypendent.org/wp-content/u… šŸ“¢ NO 3 to 6 year-old thrives in the current COMMON CORE-derived U.S.early education model! Little kids don't learn, at this age, through structured academics and seat work. They learn through play, discovery, & movement. This goes for boys AND girls! We'd fix a lot of education problems by just rooting out every vestige of Common Core - especially for early learners! We were warned!

Everything on this pamphlet is everything my child experienced in her 6th grade classroom… *Maybe you’re trans. *If your parents don’t support this — find new ā€œtrusted adults.ā€ *Maybe you should reject your parents or emancipate. *Connect with this ā€œyouth orgā€ — We’ll help you be your true self behind your parents’ backs. We’re your family now. *Maybe you need hormones and surgeries. Let us help you get them. They add: **If you can’t medicalize in your state ... we’ll help you get to a new state (Colorado.) If this is what they send your children TO YOUR HOME … Imagine the conversations they’re having at school behind your back. Yes, this is real. It happened to my family. This exact trans grooming playbook almost claimed my little girl. Be vigilant. We must stop this assault on our children.
A close friend in Texas just received this pamphlet in the mail addressed to HIS CHILDREN. It targets kids who think they may be transgender and points them to resources on how to: a) LEAVE THEIR PARENTS b) How to travel OUT OF STATE for trans care c) How be EMANCIPATED from their parents at 16 d) Education on hormones and SURGERY ...this was sent to HIS KIDS DIRECTLY

I am a lifelong Democrat. As an Asian-American, I come from a family of immigrants and a diverse household. I always believed in the policies of the Democrat Party. As a teenager, I volunteered and knocked on doors for Barack Obama. I cried when Hillary lost in 2016. But today, I voted straight Republican on my absentee ballot! We must prevent Communists and Islamists from taking over this country. Vote Republican!

Parents - how long can your child read without a break? I’ll bet many of you do not know for certain, especially if your child is in secondary school. How about this weekend you find out? Sit with them and each read a book and see how long before your child is distracted. By 6th grade if your child can’t or won’t read for at least 30 minutes, they have a reading problem whether you want to admit that or not.
For some groups of students, the biggest challenge isn't teaching reading comprehension. It's simply getting them to read. They will do anything to avoid it: stare at a wall, talk to a neighbor, go to the bathroom. And the teacher often spends much of their energy just trying to get students to make a genuine attempt to read.
