Sad news this morning on hearing former West Ham goalkeeper Ludek Miklosko has lost his brave battle with cancer. An absolute icon for the club, huge character. Ludo played 300 times for the club. We have a very strong connection to the Czech Republic with Ludo, Thomas Repka, Coufal and Soucek showing absolute commitment and loyalty to the club and all were idolised by the fans. And of course the Czech connection further emboldened by majority shareholder Daniel Kretinsky whom I have recently stood up for in his boardroom battle with Staveley and the Americans. This of course is the day to remember Ludo... RIP my friend, you will long be remembered...

FIFA has to wake up to the sheer thuggery of Argentina and ban them from the World Cup. In Atlanta I witnessed goading, abuse, intimidation and gloating as I (67 years old) and my daughter left the stadium after the defeat, by a large group of their fans whom I believe were not even at the game and had positioned themselves at the exits. Before the game two groups of Argentine Ultras (from separate clubs) had an arranged battle amongst themselves invoking police sirens and American cops to swarm in, I honestly would have supported ICE agents sorting them out.
