Thank you, Emmanuel, for your condolences. Unfortunately, the death toll from the Russian strike on a commuter train in Dnipro has already risen to 14. And just a few hours ago, the Russians struck a residential neighborhood in Chernihiv with a drone and killed two girls. They were only 15 years old. In Kremenchuk, a Russian “shahed” struck an apartment building. Tragically, three people were killed. My condolences to all those who lost their loved ones. In these three attacks alone, 56 people have been reported injured, including 10 children. These are deliberate strikes against civilians, brazen in their cruelty, and the Russians are carrying them out right as the humanitarian operation in Oleshky is unfolding. Russia’s signals are clear – they want the war to continue, and everyone around the world must still work very hard to achieve major de-escalation through strong steps and appropriate pressure on the aggressor. Peace is needed – and for that to happen, Russia must end its war and terror.

If Zelensky Is So Corrupt, Why Can’t Anyone Buy Him? 🇺🇦 I just realized something almost hilarious if it wasn’t very obvious and also real about the whole anti-Zelensky narrative. For years we have been told that Zelensky is corrupt, illegitimate, a puppet, a billionaire thief, some CIA creation, whatever version happens to be useful that day. And yet somehow Putin, Trump, oligarchs, billionaires and the entire anti-Ukraine political machine still cannot control him. Think about that contradiction. Zelensky was elected in 2019 with about 73% of the runoff vote. Ukraine has not held another presidential election because elections are suspended under martial law during Russia’s invasion, something Zelensky has said could change if conditions allow a safe and legal vote. Meanwhile Trump, Elon and others are now openly calling for Ukraine to replace him after Zelensky refused demands to stop attacking Russian energy infrastructure and bend over to them. And this is where their own propaganda stops making sense. If Zelensky were really as spectacularly corrupt as they claim, why wouldn’t somebody have bought him years ago? Putin has all the money. Russian oligarchs have money. Western billionaires have money. Elon has more money than all of them. Trump has political power. There are people with enormous financial and geopolitical interests who would benefit from a Ukrainian president willing to make the right deal for them. If Zelensky were really nothing but a corrupt opportunist, the easiest path imaginable would have been to take the money, make peace with Putin on Putin’s terms, protect himself, become insanely wealthy, powerful and live comfortably ruling the Ukraine and the area as a probably richest dictator on earth. Instead, Russia invaded, Zelensky stayed, Ukraine kept fighting, and years later these people are still trying to pressure him, discredit him, replace him and convince everyone that he is somehow the problem. Trump and Elon has now publicly called for Ukraine to get a new president after Zelensky resisted pressure over Ukrainian strikes on Russian refineries. Their relationship has deteriorated sharply precisely because Zelensky has continued pursuing policies Washington told him to stop. So maybe the reason so many powerful men seem absolutely fucking obsessed with Zelensky is much simpler than all the conspiracy theories. Maybe they hate him because they cannot break him. Maybe they hate him because they cannot buy him. Maybe they are simply jealous of him and his amazing courage and integrity.? And maybe nothing drives men obsessed with power more insane than another man they cannot control.

What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work. My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

A horrific Russian strike on the railway station in Dnipro. The Russians launched a drone attack on a platform where an ordinary commuter train and a scheduled passenger train were standing. Unfortunately, 13 people have been confirmed killed as of now. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Ten more people were injured. All necessary emergency services are working at the scene. Just how many terrorist strikes has Russia carried out against our people since sanctions were lifted on certain Russian oligarchs and the Russian energy sector, rather than de-escalating? This is precisely why Ukraine has always said that just and decisive action by America and Europe is needed in response to Russian escalation – sanctions against Moscow and its war machine must not be eased for as long as this Russian war continues. It is time for new, stronger sanctions steps by the EU, the United States, and the G7. I thank everyone who is ready to help in this way.

Republican lawmakers are eyeing a little-known congressional maneuver that could block Democratic Socialists of America members from being sworn into the House — even if they win their elections next week. The move hinges on the oath of office. Lawmaker-elects must swear to uphold the Constitution before taking their seat. But under this procedure, any member-elect can challenge another's right to be sworn in by presenting evidence that person would not honor that oath. The DSA's own platform, which calls for scrapping the current Constitution and drafting a new one, could serve as that evidence. Rep. Keith Self, R-Texas, told Fox News Digital he's considering invoking the challenge. Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., has already said he plans to use it against incoming Rep. Darializa Avila Chevalier. The move would face serious legal headwinds — the Supreme Court ruled in 1969 that the House cannot exclude an elected member who meets constitutional age, residency, and citizenship requirements. Where are the protests? Where is the outrage? Russia targeting civilians daily.
This is beyond horrifying. Russia struck a railway station in Dnipro with a drone, killing 13 people who were simply waiting for their train. The drone operators could see the platform in real time. They could see the civilians standing there. They knew what they were targeting, and they struck anyway.

🚨ISRAEL'S SHIN BET ISSUES FIRST OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON ELECTION BRIBERY INVESTIGATION Israel's domestic security agency has released its first official statement addressing suspected foreign interference and election bribery. KEY REVELATIONS: 1. THE INTELLIGENCE DID NOT COME FROM ANY POLITICAL PARTY. Shin Bet says the information originated from its own intelligence-gathering operations aimed at detecting foreign influence — not from Likud, the opposition, or any other political organization. 2. THE INVESTIGATION WAS KEPT SECRET UNTIL AFTER THE ELECTION. According to Shin Bet, only Central Elections Committee Chairman Justice Noam Sohlberg had access to the intelligence before voting concluded. 3. THE INVESTIGATION IS STILL ONGOING. Shin Bet explicitly warns that public claims about the substance or nature of the suspicions do not represent the agency's findings. 4. NETANYAHU, EISENKOT AND LAPID HAVE BEEN PERSONALLY BRIEFED. With Justice Sohlberg's authorization, Shin Bet Director David Zini personally briefed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Yashar leader Gadi Eisenkot and opposition leader Yair Lapid during the past 24 hours. 5. THE FINDINGS WILL BE PRESENTED TO THE CENTRAL ELECTIONS COMMITTEE. Shin Bet says the full results will be delivered transparently, without interpretation, to the authorized election officials. MOST IMPORTANTLY: Shin Bet emphasizes that the investigation is narrowly focused and must not be used to accuse an entire community that participated legally and democratically in the election. Only individuals found to have violated the law will face appropriate action. THE BOTTOM LINE: Israel's security service confirms that the investigation originated from independent intelligence collection, not partisan complaints.
🚨BREAKING 🚨 QATAR AND TURKEY NAMED IN ISRAEL ELECTION FUNDING ALLEGATIONS According to the report, funds originating in Qatar and Turkey allegedly reached Israel through terror-financing channels to influence the election. The report describes an unprecedented turnout surge among Bedouin and Arab voters, claiming turnout in Rahat reached 80%. Election Committee Chairman and Supreme Court Justice Solberg reportedly ordered Shin Bet head Zini to investigate whether foreign money was used to engineer the increase with the intent of harming the state.

By John Rossomando    |   Thursday, 29 October 2026 07:21 AM ED #Ukrainians are united in their refusal to surrender to #Russia, Oleksandr Merezhko, chairman of the Foreign Policy Committee of Ukraine's parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, told #Newsmax. There's no daylight between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his political opposition when it comes to refusing to surrender to Russia. This includes parties and groups opposed to #Zelenskyy's policies and critical of alleged corruption in his administration. Merezhko added that #Ukraine is fighting its War of Independence from Russia. He noted his fondness for American history, saying his studies of the American Revolution have reinforced that conviction. It took eight difficult years before the British recognized American independence, which might not have been achieved without diplomatic, economic, and military support from France, the Netherlands, and Spain. The current war also bears similarities to the War of 1812, sometimes called the "Second War of Independence," because #Britain continued to challenge America's rights as an independent nation after the Revolutionary War. The #British continued to seize American ships and support Native American resistance to the United States. The war ultimately helped solidify American sovereignty and Britain's acceptance of it. Russia repeatedly recognized Ukrainian independence, first in 1991 after the breakup of the Soviet Union, again in 1994 through the Budapest Memorandum, and finally in 1997 with the Friendship Treaty signed by Russian President Boris #Yeltsin. Russian President Vladimir Putin has since declared that southern Ukraine, a region he calls "#Novorossiya" in a reference to its tsarist-era name, has always been Russian territory. Putin has also claimed there is no "genetic" difference between Russians and Ukrainians, remarks critics view as an attempt to deny Ukraine's distinct national identity. Most Ukrainians speak Ukrainian, a language that shares linguistic similarities with Polish and Russian. Merezhko noted that President Donald Trump's attacks on Zelenskyy have created a rally-around-the-flag effect, boosting the Ukrainian leader's popularity. According to polling conducted Oct. 8-9, 43% of Ukrainians said they trusted Zelenskyy, while 52% did not. From Oct. 10-16, the percentage who said they trusted Zelenskyy rose to 57%, while the share distrusting him fell to 39%. Across the full Oct. 8-16 survey period, 54% of respondents said they trusted Zelenskyy. Of those, 22% said they trusted him completely, while 32% somewhat trusted him, the Kyiv Independent reported. The polling appeared to support Merezhko's observation that Ukrainians tend to dig in their heels when confronted with outside pressure. He noted that Ukrainian culture is more individualistic than Russian culture, which he believes partly explains Trump's failure to drive a wedge between Zelenskyy and the Ukrainian people. Trump has said Zelenskyy needs to go, but Merezhko said he believes Trump's criticism has increased Zelenskyy's chances of reelection if an election were held. "We're a democracy, and people have different views. He's been criticized by the opposition, and that's normal. It's the sign of democracy," Merezhko said. "If there were elections today he might win and have increased chances. They might not be 100%." Zelenskyy has become a symbol of the Ukrainian people on the international stage, and many Ukrainians view attacks on him as personal attacks on their besieged nation. "He is being supported by all of the Ukrainians including by the opposition. They don't criticize his foreign policy. We are united, and we need to survive," Merezhko said. "And when he is insulted by Trump, of course, people rally around him because he is our symbol. He is a world leader." Merezhko argued that Trump would be unlikely to secure the concessions he seeks even if another Ukrainian president replaced Zelenskyy, given the public's resistance to surrendering territory. Merezhko said the president would be hard-pressed to find a Ukrainian leader willing to sign a surrender agreement because other major political figures would likely approach negotiations with Russia in much the same way. A recent poll by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) found that 61% of Ukrainians oppose giving up territory in exchange for peace. Many Ukrainians distrust Putin and Russia because of Moscow's history of statements about Ukraine's territorial integrity that were later contradicted by its actions. Even those opposed to Zelenskyy's policies or critical of corruption in his administration support his firm stance against Russian demands and American pressure for concessions. Ukrainian leaders regard Russian assurances that Moscow does not seek additional territory as unreliable. In August 2008, the Russian Embassy in Washington told The Bulletin in Philadelphia that Moscow recognized Ukraine's sovereignty over Crimea. "Control of Crimea has never been disputed," embassy spokesman Yevgeny Kahorishko said. "There is no question that Ukraine has sovereignty over Crimea. It is false to say that Russia poses any threat to Ukraine's safety or security." That position was consistent with official Russian policy at the time. "Crimea is not a disputed territory," #Putin said in an August 2008 interview with Germany's ARD television. "There has been no ethnic conflict there, unlike between South Ossetia and Georgia. Russia has long recognized the borders of modern day Ukraine." Iryna Fedoriv, founder of the anti-corruption NGO Holka, meaning "Needle" in Ukrainian, told Newsmax that most Ukrainians see Putin as the central problem. She acknowledged that corruption in Zelenskyy's administration remains a concern but said Ukrainians must unite in the face of Russia's invasion. Holka has routinely criticized Zelenskyy's government over corruption. Despite those criticisms, Fedoriv insists that Ukrainians must stand together against Russia. She also rejects Trump's efforts to blame Zelenskyy for the war's continuation. "There's nobody to blame but Russia," Fedoriv said, adding that most Ukrainians have been satisfied with their country's foreign policy. "But no one is happy with what Trump was saying." Fedoriv and Merezhko said Ukrainians distinguish between the American president and the American people, rather than viewing Trump's statements as representative of the United States. "We are not Russians. We are Ukrainians," Fedoriv said. "I think that Vladimir Putin is wrong, and we really want to be part of the European Union. Can you name a single country in the European Union where the people went to the center of the capital city and they were dying to get into the European Union." Merezhko told Newsmax that Ukrainians wanted to follow the example of their #Polish neighbors, who traded Soviet-era economic hardship for greater prosperity after joining the European Union. He dismissed Russian claims that the 2014 revolution that ousted former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych was organized by the CIA or the U.S. government, arguing that the uprising was too large and driven by genuine public frustration. Yanukovych had broken his 2010 campaign promise to bring Ukraine closer to the West and instead worked to strengthen its ties with Russia. Many Ukrainians believed Yanukovych was turning their country into another #Belarus, which is closely aligned with Moscow. The former president was also accused of bringing Ukraine's intelligence agency, the SBU, under the influence of Russia's FSB. Both agencies trace their origins to the #Soviet-era KGB. For many Ukrainians, surrendering to Russia would mean losing their independence. They remain determined to resist Moscow to preserve the freedoms they enjoy and fear would disappear if Putin achieved his objectives. Consequently, any peace agreement that ends Ukrainian sovereignty would face widespread opposition. The Czech Republic has officially criminalized the promotion of communist movements that suppress human rights, placing them on the same legal footing as Nazi movements. The amendment, signed by President Petr Pavel, explicitly targets anyone who establishes, supports or promotes Nazi, communist or other movements seeking to suppress fundamental freedoms or incite racial, ethnic, religious, national or class hatred. Offenders face prison sentences ranging from one to five years, with additional provisions addressing the distribution of extremist propaganda and symbols. The legislation follows decades of debate over the country's communist past. Czechoslovakia endured more than four decades of communist one-party rule, beginning in 1948 and ending with the peaceful Velvet Revolution in 1989. Supporters, including historians from the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes, argued that communist totalitarianism should be treated as seriously as Nazism under criminal law.

Dnipro. Oh my God. At least 13 killed in Dnipro - a Russian drone hit a train close to the central railway station. Many more injured. Looks like it was a deliberate Russian strike, not an accident.

BREAKING: As the United States considers renewed strikes on Iran, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has restarted removing more Pentagon officials who criticise his war policies and believe Operation Epic Fury is destined to fail. Hegseth has ousted Lt. Gen. Brett Sylvia, the Pentagon’s top military planner, without explanation. Sylvia is the second official to be removed from the position in a year, and no replacement has been announced.
