Altar is a new music +more venue in Leytonstone. We will see.
Before on the same site was the renowned Luna Lounge (image). A tough act to follow.
Bundesliga ad with Harry Kane in Ilford today. Trying to promote themselves as alternative (or complementary) to Premier League? A tough hill to climb. Maybe they could also focus on having lot less dodgy club owners.
Theory is quality wins as long as price similar.
Not with pasties. How do Ginsters dominate with their terrible product? Just try proper pasty in Cornwall, e.g. from Philps in Hayle & taste a large difference. Is it really impossible to sell such in Penzance but not in Plaistow?
'new formula assumes every council charges notional Band D of £2,060. Barnet charges £438 less, but grant calculated as if difference were being collected. Council cannot collect it because rises above limit need Secretary of State consent or referendum' conservativehome.com/2026/10…

What London Sphere could have looked like.
Newham Council & Mayor of London rejected due to light pollution. Developer could've bought impacted property or paid compensation to owners. Now will be a food court. Using old buses.
Terrible decision by @NewhamLondon & @MayorofLondon
Ironic this vid about Las Vegas Sphere, leader in 'experience economy' (but content MOR, e.g. U2) part of series from Stratford's @HereEast
As here would've been site of transformative sister London Sphere, rejected by London Mayor in 23. This is site now m.youtube.com/watch?v=ieGLA5…
Grade II ex Denmark Arms (c1890), East Ham, diagonally opposite complementary Grade II East Ham (later Newham) Town Hall (1901)
Plan to turn into gambling centre rejected. Unlikely to be a pub again yet major investment in nearby Grade II 1899 Bolelyn Tavern makes that possible?

When Essex almost made it to Tottenham; only a bridge-length away. Just east of the river Lea & the Ferry Boat Inn.
