The fact that Ryan Day supports his son’s commitment to Northwestern is a compliment to HC David Braun and his staff.

There’s a difference between promoting your work and needing everyone to know how great you are.
Some people don’t coach to develop players—they coach to develop their personal brand.
Every drill is content. Every win is a TED Talk. Every idea somehow originated with them.
At some point, just coach.

🏈 24 TEAMS. 3 FIELDS. 1 CHAMPION. 🏆
Last Saturday, Oakton High School became the center of NOVA football as 24 programs came together for the Route 66 7v7 Tournament.
From the first snap to the championship game, athletes were making plays all over the field.
🎯 QBs dropping dimes.
🔥 WRs making contested catches.
🛡️ DBs creating turnovers.
💪 Teams competing every 20 minutes across three fields.
After a full day of competition, the tournament came down to Oakton vs. Woodbridge.
And when it was all said and done…
🏆 Woodbridge Vikings left as Route 66 7v7 Champions.

📈 RECRUITING REALITY:
7v7 isn’t about championships alone.
It’s about timing.
It’s about chemistry.
It’s about offensive concepts, defensive spacing, communication, and preparation.
For many teams, this was the final stop before team camps and the return of shoulder pads.
Which means one thing…
🏈 Football season is almost here.
