I’m 46. These Are The Health Metrics I Track Religiously To Feel Like I'm 26
I’m stronger, leaner, and have more energy than I did in my 20s. But it didn’t happen by accident. It’s because I track 12 numbers that actually impact health.
In tomorrow’s newsletter, I’ll give you my full health dashboard, from daily habits to lab work.

Your brain can rewire itself after years of neglect.
You can build muscle at any age.
Your heart can become younger.
Your liver can regenerate after being damaged.
It's never too late. Your body can heal itself but you need to give it the right inputs.

I learned how to set up Grok Bot from Peter.
If you’re into AI highly recommend following him.
Here's my updated review of each personal agent:
1. Grok Bot
Pros: A team of bots is the easiest to understand. Free X access is amazing for research. Voice mode and the new Pages feature are great.
Cons: Email feature doesn't really work.
2. Muse
Pros: Free, best consumer UX, most meme-worthy avatar, and business calling is amazing.
Cons: Muse Wonder is good but Opus/Astra is better.
3. Claude Duet
Pros: Most proactive out of the box. Feels polished and simple to use. Arguably the best model behind it.
Cons: Missing some features in research preview, like being able to drive its browser.
4. ChatGPT Dots
Pros: Works inside ChatGPT, so it can drive all your cloud and local threads.
Cons: Much better than at launch but still buggy. Voice mode is slow to connect.
I've also tried Instinct and some of the other agents, but I don't want more than 4 at a time connected to my email.

We put step tracker on our 6 year old for two days.
She’s clocking in at 16,000+ steps a day.
I think she’ll be fine.
Children averaging 5,000 to more than 12,000 steps per day day had fewer mental health symptoms than those taking less than 5,000.
Mental health symptoms were progressively lower across higher step counts with no apparent plateau, even at 12,000+ steps per day.
Brain scans also linked higher step counts to greater thickness in two specific regions of the cortex, the brain’s outer layer.
Daily movement deserves much more attention as a potential way to support kids’ mental health. That's especially clear when you consider that modern-day digital and urban environments provide little opportunity for movement throughout the day.

"I ate in a calorie deficit and didn't lose any weight"
No. You did not.
if you only ate 1000 calories a day of all oreos you would lose weight because you are in a caloric deficit.
if you ate 8000 calories a day of all oreos you would gain weight because you are in a caloric surplus.
if you only ate 1000 calories a day of all steak you would lose weight because you are in a caloric deficit.

One of my clients started drinking my 2-minute sleep tea before bed.
Her sleep score jumped from the low 80s into the 90s, and she stopped waking up to go pee.
Takes 2 minutes to make and has 3 ingredients:
- Bag of chamomile tea
- 5 to 10g of glycine
- Quarter teaspoon of sea salt or electrolytes
Drink it 2 hours before bed and you might have the best sleep of your life.

One of life's greatest luxuries is a home gym.
You don't have to travel. You can lift with no shoes or shirt. Your kids watch you exercise. You can blast Nickelback at full volume.
Get yourself a home gym. Go into debt if you have to.

An underrated way to get lean that no one wants to do is eating the same meals every day.

The most important muscle for aging is not your chest or your arms.
It's your legs.
Your legs hold 60% of your muscle mass making them the biggest glucose sink. Leg strength is also one of the strongest predictors of fall risk, independence, and longevity.
Don't skip leg day. Your future self depends on it.
