Be Jacob Misiorowski
- High school senior season canceled by COVID
- Tore his meniscus 2 games into his freshman year
- Came back, 10-0, 136 Ks in 76 innings
- Drafted 63rd overall
- Scouts doubted he'd throw enough strikes to start
- But started his MLB career with 11 straight no-hit innings
- All-Star selection after just 5 career starts
- Got swept by the Dodgers in the NLCS
- Next year: MLB-best 1.80 ERA and 252 strikeouts
- Threw the fastest pitch ever tracked by a starter (103.7 mph) then kept breaking his own record
- Swept the Dodgers right back
- Opened the World Series with the fastest pitch in WS history
- 5 scoreless innings in the clincher
- Won the first ever World Series for the Brewers at age 24 in his Cy Young year
- Loves Jesus
- Not afraid to cry on camera
He’s a legend already.

The Brewers are being celebrated like they invented baseball.
They are doing things that have become unusual.
They have an old school tough manager who players love playing for.
They focus on basic easy to understand basic fundamentals.
They have a hitting coach that was an overachieving player for skill that played in the big leagues.
They hit the ball the other way.
They value putting the ball in play.
They adjust their approach based on situation and count.
They are not addicted to exit velocity and launch angle bullshit.
They bunt and steal bases.
They do not have selfish superstars that need to be treated like celebrities.
The Brewers simply play the game how it was meant to be played.

Players
Before you start baseball specific weight lifting workouts.
You need a base level of strength.
A base level of strength revolves around old school lifts like bench press, squats, leg press, etc.
The majority of high school and even college players can't understand how physical (strong) major league players are.
They better not be listening to the dumb dumbs telling them not to lift heavy weight and to not bench press.
Creating a base level of strength requires both.
Lift like a linebacker.
Eat like a lineman.
Baseball specific workouts are for players that are already incredibly strong.

Players
This will be unpopular.
You can get good at hitting without lessons.
You can get strong without a personal trainer.
You can develop arm strength without a velocity camp.
You can be good at baseball without someone holding your hand every step of the way.
It is called ingenuity.

Tony Gwynn loved tee work built around staying inside the ball and driving it the other way through the 5.5 hole. There are plenty of instructional clips of him teaching that approach, even though this exact session isn't dated.
The drill looks simple because it is. Gwynn's genius was doing simple bat-control work with a level of precision that eventually produced eight batting titles.
