Welcome back to one of the best guards in Bonnies history, Tim Winn ‘00. Tim was a first-team all-Atlantic 10 selection in 2000 when he led the Bonnies to the NCAA tournament for the first time in 22 seasons. A member of the Athletics Hall of Fame, his son Tim Jr., joined him on his visit back to Bona.

Pat Riley says he brought a 2x4 wood board into the Miami Heat locker room to teach his players about overcoming their fears “I remember I brought a two-by-four into the locker room. I placed it down, all the guys were ready, and I walked across it without falling off. I said, ‘Somebody else come up and walk.’ A couple guys came up and walked across it and laughed, ‘I could do it too.’” “I said, ‘What if we put that 200 feet in the air, spanning two buildings?’ Now it changes the whole thing. It’s called fear. Down here it’s easy, but up here is where you have to play.” “My whole theory was that you can play on the floor, but if you want to beat Dwyane, or you want to beat Michael, or you want to beat Kobe, you’ve got to meet them at the rim. You’ve got to get up there at the rim and meet them there. Otherwise they’re going to dunk on you and embarrass you.” “And there was also a subtle message. When you meet somebody at the rim, what happens? It’s a collision. I had one rule: if you meet him at the rim and you take somebody out, you’ve got to go out with them. You don’t want to hurt anybody, but you’ve got to meet him at the rim or it’s over.”

🤣 That’s the real stuff… still wrapping brain around Nick being “old enough” to get married. ⏳ The best of the best is Upstate. 🥇@CoachFrusc must be crazy proud too. Thanks for sharing, Coach.
Shooting pool with former point guard Ahmad Clark. He stopped over the house for a few hours yesterday. He was in town for Nick Fruscios wedding. He is living in Florida & doing well! Of course I beat him in pool! 🤣

University of Houston coach Kelvin Sampson on Jamal Shead signing a new three-year $24 million extension with the Toronto Raptors a year early, just two seasons into his NBA career: "I told Toronto before the draft, I told all those guys, 'Look you can sit there and figure out what's wrong with every player.' That's what most cynical people do. Always figure out what's wrong, that's how they see things. "But if you want to win and have a player that's dependable you can count on. . . Sometimes a player's greatest strength can be dependability. And that's what Jamal is. His attributes talent wise is No. 1 his strength. I mean, he is strong. His thighs and his butt. That's a powerful little dude. But his leadership, his basketball IQ, his fearlessness, his competitiveness. I hear a lot of people say he's not quite big enough. "My response is always the same. You're always big enough if you're good enough. And Jamal is."

Class of 2027 recruits, don’t price yourself out of a scholarship and an opportunity. Don’t chase 🏃‍♂️ 🏃‍♀️ 🏃 the 💰. Play, mature and grow. If you think you are being recruited by a school ask yourself: Do you know who the head coach is? Have spoke to him? If NO, you aren’t a priority. BE A PRIORITY. MAKE AN IMPACT. DEVELOP. Play the long game. If you are good enough and about the right stuff the 💼 💸 will chase you! #Win #LongGame #Fit #Develop #Grow #Impact #Lead #NCAA #FreeGame #FitOverFinance #CityRocks

Our Siena family is deeply saddened by the passing of Sybille Cowan For 38 years, Sybille touched the lives of thousands of Saints while serving as athletic department secretary. She was the heart and soul of Siena Athletics. You would be hard-pressed to find a student athlete over the past 50 years - or anyone associated with Siena for that matter - who wasn't directly impacted by her love, compassion, kindness, and beautiful smile May her memory be a blessing 📰 t.ly/UVCdL

Moore, 61, was simply tired of the day-to-day grind of being a GM in today's NIL/portal climate. He's done with coaching, too, but may do some TV.

19 years ago, @CoachTomMoore hired me to join his first coaching staff at Quinnipiac University. I was 21 years old with virtually no coaching experience, but he gifted me an opportunity that I am forever grateful for. From that day in 2007 until today, he’s been a constant supporter and a true friend. Thanks, TMoore. I owe you. Enjoy that great family, and the boat, and the multiple homes. Can’t wait to see your act on TV soon.

Tom Moore is retiring after 21 seasons, four national titles at UConn. Expect his replacement at GM to be a younger guy with NBA experience. (Not expected to be Andrew Hurley, though he'll likely be in a similar role).
