The tournament, when he first gave it to his dad on Father’s Day in 2012, had 16 teams. To see it at the level that it is at right now is just remarkable. I couldn’t be more proud of the way he’s handled this tournament. It’s a lot of hard work, a lot of effort on his part, but he does it every day because that’s how much he loved his dad." "He’s followed in his dad’s footsteps as a basketball coach. He was always by my husband’s side when he coached high school basketball. The bond that they had just made it that much harder when we lost my husband to ALS. There’s really not much more I could say on that part. He misses his dad, as we do, every single day.
