The @CodeCafeOnline CoC is pretty explicit in emphasizing both being a safe space, and a focus on impact over intention. The impact of your actions/words are what we hold you to. If you cause harm, you have to go. Patch your "missing stairs" ASAP and don't let disruptors linger.
I started Code Cafe at a coffee shop on the Jersey Shore a little over a year ago. For about 2 months, I only had one other attendee. Today, our Discord community surpassed 200 members. And I just cannot believe how many wonderful people I get to hang out with every day 💕

The applause is appreciated, but unnecessary. We are only doing what any decent person/community should do, and do not deserve praise or thanks. It's sad that we are still living in an age where basic respect for another groups inherent rights should receive applause or praise.
