In 2020, I had no idea that one day I would be writing this tweet. Here's my story. People generally glamorize things on social media. Which is fine. But let me tell you how poorly I was doing in the past. • In high school, I almost failed the math test • Didn't pass the top engineering college entrance • Took admission in engineering with no idea • I was a part of an unpaid internship • Engineering requires a laptop, I took a loan for that • My college placement offered me $4.5K per year Here's what I did to make my life better. The college was closed due to COVID. I thought why not learn a new skill apart from the regular curriculum. I started learning web development from YouTube and free courses. I used to see other creators with massive followings writing about tech on X. It was so tempting. Initially, I started interacting with them by replying to their tweets, joining their livestreams, etc. Then I got the idea that content creation is nothing but sharing your journey and learning — this is my definition of it. It was the time when I started writing on X and online. I showed up daily, used to write about the complex modules of web development, interacted with others. It really worked for me. After a few days, • Bunch of people started reaching out to me • I was offered my first internship at that time • My followers/impressions were skyrocketing And finally, after writing for a year, I got my first full-time remote job in mid-2021. I recommend this to everyone. Even I have shared many tweets earlier based on the same narrative and conclusion. It worked for me and that's why I want you to opt for this path. There could be thousands of ways to get a good life. One of them is this. Proven.
