It's his company. He's developing this with his money. Dummy.
What have you done to better the world? Tesla is the only American company pushing for a renewable transportation future. And making our species multiplanetary. Meanwhile you're crying on X with your stupid nose ring.

I don't like amazon and love tesla/elon but lets be fair: If Elon was to do an Amazon competitor, he'd be automating as much as possible.
Replying to @elonmusk
I was having my bots order on amazon. Yesterday they said they were blocked. So I said "Okay, order it somewhere else"
The reason *I* order from amazon is it's easy and I'm used to it. But of @bot is going to order for me anyway, I don't care if it's amazon. I just care about a good deal.
This was stupid of @amazon I wish I knew why they'd do that. WHy wouldn't they want to make their site the go-to shopping spot for bots?

To the left, 'philanthropy' only means taking someone's money and giving it to someone else. Which doesn't produce anything.
To Elon, philanthropy is doing something that will better humanity.

Where are all the men in that country? I'd legit toss his ass down the steps.

Yeah, lets go back to gas cars and no space industry. Elon is what's dragging the US into the future.

Now show dash cams of the 100000 accidents distracted human drives get into.
If I could be on the road with nothing but robotaxis or human drivers, I'd take robotaxis. If I could pick a robotaxi over a human uber, robotaxi every time.

I'm confused. I use this account (old email) with X, but my newer/main email for Grok. I'm trying to link them but got an error "This X account is the only way to sign in to a different Grok account. Add another sign-in method to that account and unlink X in account settings, or continue without connecting."
So can I not use old-email X and unify with new-email Grok and new-email cursor?

Let me know when your train takes me from my front door to the door of my destination. Having autonomous cars that are cheap and reliable and fast is far better than a 200 year old point to point rail system.

This same argument can be made about countless new technologies that come and replace the need for humans to have to do something.
The more work can get AI/robots to do the better.
Your comment reminds me of when I went to Bruni and there were teams of people mowing this field with stringers. I asked why they don't have someone with a huge mower. He said it' was to give more people jobs.
I said "why not just hire one person with a huge mower and just pay the others to do nothing? Same result (mowed grass), same cost to the government, but might as well have people able to do other things.
I mean hell, otherwise why not just remove the tools all together and make them cut the grass literally by hand. Wow, you'd be able to employ the whole country!

Also Elon has been the greatest capital allocator in the history of humanity. Look at the value of Tesla and SpaceX vs the money raised to start them.
Replying to @ValueAnalyst1
Because dragging humanity into the future is capital intensive and they’d rather raise debt than sell equity
Why do you think they can raise money so easily? Investors are confident in their story.

Why isn’t everyone doing it? Because you can’t borrow 10 million at 3%. You just gave the reason in your second argument. Who’s gonna loan you money at 3% when T bills are yielding 5+?
Replying to @Delta
@Delta you guys are crazy. I fly to Houston once a month. I’m sure if you want to have some intern find me in your system they could verify. But with competitors using Starlink and you guys refusing because some grudge against Elon, I’m done.
My flight on Sunday will be with @SouthwestAir Future trips will be with them or @united
And yes, I admit it. I am a Starlink/SpaceX fanboy, thus the profile image. But there is a reason. Why would I wanna fly on a plane with no Internet access when I don’t have to?
I know. If only SpaceX was as good as all those European countries at launching rockets into space and catching them.
Seriously though. SpaceX has landed more rockets after deploying payload into space (in just the last two years) than every European country put together has even launched.
They have no peers. When you’re doing things that have never been done and were thought impossible, it takes time.
