Fiat currencies were fundamentally designed as units of account for a human economy. Crypto, on the other hand, is built around integer-based smallest units that machines can process with absolute precision. And with Coinbase for Agents and x402 emerging, this is no longer just an idea. We may be entering the implementation phase of an economy where AI agents can transact directly with each other. Maybe crypto wasn’t created for AI. But AI might be what finally unlocks its full potential.
