Cambria Genesis — How the Economy Works
Cambria just dropped the full Genesis docs. This is no longer a seasonal Gold Rush — it’s a persistent MMORPG with a real economy. Here’s what actually matters if you want to understand where the money is.
Core Loop: Energy → Risk Pool
1 Energy Orb = $3 = 100,000 Energy
Energy only burns outside safe zones:
T2: 3.5/sec
T3: 35/sec
T4: 52.5/sec
T5: 65.6/sec
Islands — The Passive Play
3,333 Islands. Owners earn from:
1. The shared Islet pot (Silver from bought slots split by Influence)
2. Building tax (you set 0–30% yourself)
Shipping from an island costs 8% fee + 8% chance the entire shipment is lost + 24h transit. Only worth it if your tax + risk is lower than mainland rates.
Royal Favor & $RSGP
Favor is the only way to earn $RSGP directly from gameplay.
It’s non-transferable, decays with inactivity, and requires a staked Charter.
Each epoch locked RSGP is distributed to a random subset of Favor holders (weighted by balance). The median player is unlikely to get anything.
Who Actually Makes Money
People who read city order books and do the island math first
People who treat Gold as a position on the pool, not just “loot”
Skilled players who can consistently farm T4–T5
People who understand when it’s better to own the asset (Charter / Island / Deed) vs play it themselves
When the chart turns green and everyone suddenly becomes a genius,
