Adventurous training (AT) is a key part of developing leadership and personal resilience. All trainee RAF officers and aviators undertake a range of AT activities - I was pleased to join this group for an unseasonably lovely day on the Welsh hills. #NoOrdinaryJob @RoyalAirForce
All the RAF personnel in this excellent programme started their career by undertaking initial training with in the RAF College. It is amazing to see the heights that our graduates achieve!

I want to thank our Whole Force for your hard work this year & thank those continuing to deliver the RAF’s operational output over the break. If you’re celebrating at home, enjoy your well-deserved downtime. You can be proud of what we have done this year. xitter.cf/RoyalAirForce/status/1…
We wish everyone a #MerryChristmas.🎅🎄
Spare a thought for those serving on Operations at home and overseas, always ready to fly and fight.

Congratulations to all the graduating officers (both from the regular and reserve force) that passed out from the RAF College at Cranwell yesterday. A superb event, with Air Vice Marshal Ran Munro, Commandant General of the Royal Auxiliary Air Force, as our reviewing officer.

Congratulations again to the personnel of Pearson intake! As promised yesterday here is footage from the parade! We will be publishing more photos of the award winners this afternoon so keep your eyes peeled! 👀
This week @TedderAcademy delivered the Chief of the Air Staff’s 2024 Leadership Conference. The topic was leadership and risk in uncertainty. An excellent event, we were joined by superb speakers from the RAF, industry and academia. @ChiefofAirStaff @MIT @SpaceX #TheLeadingEdge
It’s not all about graduations! The RAF Officer Training Academy delivers agile, resilient and integrated training. While B Squadron graduated, D, C and A Squadrons deployed to build and test their military skills and their command and leadership abilities. #NoOrdinaryJob
We were superbly supported by key enablers, such as Joint Tactical Air Controllers from the RAF Air-Land Integration Sqn, CH-47 Chinooks from 18 Sqn and Typhoon fast jets from XI(F) Sqn. #ReadytoFlyandFight

Huge congratulations to the RAF Cranwell graduates on your Passing Out Parade!
What a great day! We were honoured to have HRH The Prince of Wales as the reviewing officer for the graduation of the RAF’s newest officers from RAF College Cranwell. Huge congratulations to all the graduates! @RoyalAirForce #NoOrdinaryJob
Last week, aircraft from number 6 Flying Training School, part of the RAF College, deployed to RNAS Culdrose in Cornwall to make sure local RAF Air Cadets got the opportunity to fly in the Tutor aircraft. A great team effort, and a lot of very happy cadets. @aircadets @ComdtAC
Space domain awareness is critical to Defence of critical national infrastructure. UK Space Command is just on way that space professionals from the RAF and other services contribute to UK Defence. #noordinaryjob
The National Space Operations Centre and @RAFFylingdales monitored the break-up of the Chinese Long March 6A rocket earlier this week.
UK Space Command and @spacegovuk are monitoring the debris to assess any potential risks to UK satellites.
ALT The China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation launched a Long March 6A at 0742 (British Summer Time) on Tuesday 6 August 2024 from Taiyuan Satellite Launch Centre in the People’s Republic of China The rocket carried 18 communications satellites for the G60 constellation operated by Shanghai Spacecom Satellite Technology Commercial Space Domain Awareness providers are reporting multiple new pieces of debris following the break-up of the Long March 6A rocket body. Current estimations are 50+ objects in the debris cloud The National Space Operations Centre and RAF Fylingdales also detected this event and are currently analysing the debris to determine implications, and will continue to monitor these objects to assess the potential hazards to UK satellites.
I am always really impressed with the dedication and professionalism of our University Air Squadron personnel. Whether they go on to join the RAF or not, they are fantastic ambassadors.
One of the best things about @airtattoo this year was the opportunity to meet some of the enthusiastic future aviators, including some from Birmingham and Liverpool University Air Squadrons.

An honour to be able to lay a wreath at the 80th Anniversary of the Great Escape over the weekend at Stalag Luft III. Pictures of the 50 recaptured personnel murdered by the Nazis were carried by serving @RoyalAirForce personnel at a poignant ceremony at the exit to ‘Harry’.

Today we reflect, 80 years after the Great Escape took place.

RAF personnel are in Poland to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Great Escape; the remarkable story of a multinational group of aviators that worked together to escape the Stalag Luft III prisoner of war camp.
