Every time russia announces they are ready for peace - the massive attack on civilians follows. I counted at least 16 ballistic hits in Kyiv - feels like Armageddon.

Not a bad idea, especially if it comes ahead of the scrapping of grants for heat pumps - and even electric cars.
Here’s a thing, it should bring a proper economic focus to the equipment being bought, borrowed for - the fundamental question of pay back ought to loom large. If I borrow this money how long will the savings take to pay it back? The answer for a heat pump is three times the life of the equipment, aka never. Even at 0% interest it simply doesn't work. The answer for solar is far better - 6 to 8 years with equipment life of 20, so mainly back around three times over. Add a battery and that gets worse, payback wise - but it still works.
Easy to take a grant and not think too much about it - different with a loan.

Russia has hit Kyiv, Ukraine, with at least 6 ballistic missiles within the last 30 minutes, targeting 3 million civilians and infrastructure, after meeting with Trump's lapdog Witkoff, who praised Putin as a humanitarian and saluted him on behalf of the rogue United States.

Dounreay had a near Chernobyl style runaway reaction in 1968 and dumped the evidence, (most of the core bar the melted rods which could not be removed and are still there for you to see), down a low level waste shaft in the cliff. Despite dropping a tonne of boronated glass on top of it, it went critical in 1978, ejecting its contents as far as the foreshore and destroying the rock structure such that the sea bed and foreshore are now so contaminated that they cannot be remediated. I know because I made the documentary - though the runaway criticality that caused the shaft explosion was not included because that evidence only came to light later on. Never a full public inquiry nor lessons taken and learned. But let’s not get hung up on ‘outdated policies’ eh?
We must not forget that Dounreay helped keep the lights on in the glens.
We have the site, the skills and the community to host a small modular reactor. The Scottish Government must move beyond outdated policies and unlock Highland energy opportunities.

Weidel: "Prolonging the war and shooting drones into the hinterland of Russia, destroying refineries, houses, and buildings near Moscow, is a huge provocation."
Host: "It's defending itself."
Weidel: "No, it's not."
Host: "Every night, drones and ballistic missiles rain down on Ukraine..."
Weidel: "This strategy is very risky, and we've been criticizing it. We want to end this war.
It doesn't help if a country [Ukraine] launches drone attacks against a country [Russia] that has nuclear weapons. It doesn't make sense, it's very risky and very stupid.
We need to end this, and we need to actually put pressure on Ukrainian president to have the willingness to end the dying and stop this very risky strategy for all of Europe."🔚
Folks, here is Weidel's imaginary reality: black is white, the victim is to blame for the crime against them, and defending your home against a bloody, illegal invasion that murders children and razes towns is "stupid," while letting Russia occupy you and carry out a country-wide Bucha massacre is probably smart.
And defending yourself is risky! Risky, did you hear that? Well, no shit, just standing there and catching Russian ballistics with your face is risky, too. So we may as well take the risk and, hear me out, fight back?
Please don't vote for this evil Russian appendix in Germany!

A father of 6. Dead in Kuwait. Hidden for 6 months. 🚨
Sergeant Davios — NYPD officer, killed in the Iran war — wasn't counted as a war casualty because he was Black. Hegseth's Pentagon buried his name with his body. Racist, incompetent, and unforgivable. Say his name. 🔥

I'm seeing and hearing MPs saying that the cost of living and supermarket prices are coming down, yet my food shop keeps going up and is now literally DOUBLE what it was. @andyburnham
🚨 BREAKING: Almost 9 MILLION people across the UK are at risk of needing a food bank in the next year.
One in five people have run out of food in past year and been unable to afford to buy more.
This cannot continue. The government must act ahead of the Budget to make essentials like food and bills affordable.

Yesterday, we all saw the video of Kostiantyn Vlasenko, a Ukrainian Defender from the 30th Brigade, being evacuated by drone from a position on the left bank of the Oskil River in the Kupiansk sector, Kharkiv region.
I was deeply impacted by the video and his interview.
After being seriously wounded in February, Kostiantyn lost one leg. Several months later, when gangrene set in, he had to amputate his other leg himself. Throughout all of this, he continued to hold the position alone.
Several attempts to evacuate him by land had failed, so different units of Ukraine's Defense Forces came together to rescue Kostiantyn.
I'm speechless.
Yet another historic first has taken place in Ukraine.
The most important part is that the rescue mission saved the Defender's life.
"A historic event has taken place - an evacuation from the front line using a flying drone." - Napalm, a squad leader and programmer with the Unmanned Ground Systems Company of the 92nd Assault Brigade.
An infantryman from the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade was wounded while holding his position. Due to intense Russian drone activity and mined terrain, evacuating him using conventional unmanned ground vehicles was impossible.
That’s when specialists from 92nd Assault Brigade UGS Company took responsibility for doing something that had never been done before: evacuating a service member using an aerial drone. The aircraft was a heavy-lift hexacopter manufactured by Ukrainian company Gurzuf Defence, which provided it free of charge.
The drone was piloted by an operator from the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade. The operation was a success - the wounded Defender was rescued!
(Note how evacuation by ground drones has already become "conventional". This war is changing the future of warfare)

You're a complete and utter failure, #HelenWhately. You and that disgraceful #MattHancock.
Here she is Helen Whately, Minister for Health and Social Care at the time of the covid pandemic.
Piers Morgan dismantles Whately when she could not answer the questions re the care homes crisis. She, along with many others are a disgrace.
#CovidInquiry
Judging by the volume of responses to my tweet regarding Helen Whately she is not a popular person. At all. #CovidInquiry #covid19
#PoliticsLive tuned in today.....it's noise and they talk over each other...a rabble. These people have very little idea how to argue respectfully with each other. Fleming has zero control. Ugh.
During the Covid-19 Inquiry a civil servant described the number of COVID-related deaths of elderly people as ‘“a generational slaughter within care homes.”’ This is a terrible indictment of Boris Johnson, Matt Hancock, Helen Whately and everyone who allowed it to happen.
