Michael Che and other actually funny people on SNL tell more offensive jokes regularly about entire demographics of people. The outrage over Shane Gillis is because he's perceived as right-wing-coded and there's longstanding bitterness that he's wildly successful despite that.

Whether a Paul Ryan-type or an "extreme right" type, everyone on the Right thinks their faction will benefit if the GOP loses badly. They all think the GOP will instantly transform into what they demand with a loss. But that's not how politics works. People like Tillis will be even more irrelevant after the midterms, regardless of the result. These types weren't strengthened after 2018, 2020, or 2022. They continued to be diminished with each successive election. As the DSA shows, you win by getting your candidates elected, not cheering on the sidelines for the other party to win.
Outgoing RINO Senator @ThomTillis gleefully shows a Politico reporter the countdown clock on his phone for what he says is guaranteed Republican defeat in the upcoming midtermS: "This thing that's going to happen 20 days from now that I have on my countdown clock as whoop ass."

He always acts like he’s some generational thought leader when in reality he proved to be deadweight that had to be dragged across the finish line in two elections. A negative WAR political talent if there ever was one.

You ever noticed how we almost never see the right protest like this? One of the reasons why January 6 is such a common Democrat talking point is because it’s one of the few times they can point to the right engaging in a non-peaceful protest. We get at least three or four of these a year from the left. We get one from the right maybe one every decade.

Everyone makes fun of a&m and the Jimbo contract and buyout and oil prices etc etc ad nauseam until they're *literally* too poor to fire their own shitty HC then it's not so funny, is it? Sucks to be poor, fuckers
South Carolina paid Will Muschamp $13 million to go away during the height of COVID, and now reportedly doesn’t have the funds to fire Shane Beamer. That’s the never-ending circle of hell for Gamecocks fans.

Just remember: This is all happening because Lisa Murkowski didn't want to face a primary.
It's not just the Dan Sullivans thing. It's looking like the top-four in Alaska's at-large House race will feature Democrat Eric Hafner. Hafner is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence and has never been to Alaska. He was elevated by a super PAC. adn.com/politics/2026/08/15/…

A lot of the Boomerisms about hard work, saving money, and living within your means are actually great pieces of advice. It’s just common sense, and you see guys like Caleb Hammer re-articulating it for a younger audience which is a good thing. Every generation should be taught how to balance a budget and save up for important life moments like buying a house or getting married. But the reason it gets dunked on so much online is because this advice often ignores the current macro picture. Asset price inflation has priced millions out of the housing market. The average age of a home buyer has skyrocketed. The car market is out of control. Even used cars now routinely cost over $20,000. The stock market is now in mega bubble territory. Consumer spending is increasingly geared towards the top 10% of household wealth. I can go on with more examples, but we increasingly live in a K shaped economy that has left half of the country feeling hopeless about their person financial situation and their future. Understanding where people are and why they feel so pessimistic about the economy despite record stock prices is essential if we want to set our fellow countrymen up for success in the future. There is a time and place to tell someone to build a monthly budget, but this advice will never be taken to heart unless the person you’re talking to knows you care about them and understands the unique economic challenges we’re living through.
