Looks like the Miami #Bucks rumors were true as all of these takeaways are things that were said about Milwuakee last year lol.
Heat Central’s main takeaways from tonight, Game 1: - Very Giannis dependent. Was even worse than I was expecting tbh - Need Bam in attack mode more how he was in that 3rd quarter stretch. - Defense kinda takes a hit with this fast pace it seems - Shooters couldn’t hit the open looks they did get - The lacking another shot creator narrative showed itself tonight, but It’s just game 1 - Disappointing showing from Pelle. Didn’t feel an impact at all really - Nikola Jovic - Anthony Edwards couldn’t miss tonight. Put on a show Next game Friday vs the Pistons.

This synopsis of this tweet could be a legit copy and paste from the #Bucks last year and it would be no different. Giannis playing amazing but the team not getting any stops on defense for it to matter lol.
FINAL: Timberwolves 131, Heat 106 - Antetokounmpo 35pts/6reb - Adebayo 15pts/7reb/4ast/3stl - Wiggins 11pts/2reb - Mitchell 11pts/10ast - Thompson 10pts The Heat are now 0-1 this season. Antetokounmpo put up great numbers, but Miami just didn't have any answers defensively.

Giannis going to average an extra 5 PPG if he can stick to this new more fluid FT routine.

Honestly funny seeing the reaction of Miami fans realizing that Giannis Antetokounmpo is an all-time great basketball player. “Are you seeing this guy?!”. Yes, he averages 32/12 like every season.

#Bucks played solid for 3Q but the 4th was very rough. Not sure how many wins are going to come this year, so losing one you felt like you should win will always sting a little more. 1 down, 81 to go.

Giannis will have the same thoughts when he has his first intro presser back in a #Bucks uniform.
Damian Lillard said he never should have left Portland.. Dame said that it felt “really uneasy” not being on the Blazers and having to face them, calling Portland his home and admitting he “should have never left.” GOAT is back where he belongs ❤️

Giannis changing his FT stance and routine so he shoots around 4-6 seconds in his very first game in Miami tells me all I need to know about the Doc led #Bucks team. I would bet that when he got down there they had him change it right away and said they are not going to watch him get shot clock violations at the line anymore and he listened to the coaches and made the changes. Doc probably told the other coaches in MIL to let him be and not bother him because he was too scared of what he would say lol.

#Bucks are an Ament sub for Kuzma away from having the “Giannis Package” Lineup. I just want to see it for a couple of minutes this year for fun lol.

#Bucks are winning 30 games this year 🦌
Bucks season predictions - Record: 26-56 - Best player: Rollins - Highest PPG: Herro - Wild card: Jakucionis - At least one of Herro/Turner traded by deadline Alright, so I'm sorry but I just think the record will be bad. But who cares. They can be a fun bad team. I know the roster doesn't totally suck on paper, but with how good to the rest of the East/NBA is these days (+ no end of season tanking), I just don't see a lot of wins. Having a competent coach will make the team more watchable even if they aren't good, and the importance of this season is in gaining assets and developing the future pieces. Wins are secondary (at least to me they are). Ideally they trade Herro and/or Turner for assets by the deadline (not that those guys suck, but I don't see them as pieces of the rebuild and it opens up things for other guys)... then in the 2nd half of the season they let Rollins, Burries, and Ware cook, and possibly others too (Jak/Ament/etc) depending on if anyone steps up. If they're able to do that and we can feel good about the young guys + coach going forward, I think this season is a big win. I think the decision to waive KPJ is a good sign for what they are prioritizing this season - they could've just cut their worst player (LeVert) to try to be the best team possible right now, but instead they are opting to do what's best for the long-term growth of their important young guys. That's the mindset I want them to have with the rest of their moves this season... who cares about being good right now, let's acquire any future assets we can and do whatever possible to squeeze every ounce of potential out of the young intriguing pieces. If they can do that, I think it'll be a fun year. Bottom line, I'm going to miss the hell out of being a good team and having a superstar like Giannis, but there's something comforting about being back here. In the trenches. Let's ride. Bucks in 6.
