This is a cover-up. Labour's Justice Secretary won't say how many of the prisoners he is releasing early have been tagged. He promised they’d all be tagged, now he tells me we won't find out until January. 3,000 prisoners will have been freed by then. Insane.

@PeterBleksley, the way you spoke to @Alexarmstrong was disgusting. I was genuinely taken aback. If the question was whether he would fight here, on British soil, to protect this country’s women and children from men who mean them harm, I suspect the answer would be yes. But calling a 35-year-old man a “coward” because he doesn’t want to be sent abroad to kill other young men at the behest of a government that has spent much of his life treating him like shit? How dare you? Young white men and boys are repeatedly told they’re privileged, toxic and the source of every problem in the world since the 1700s. Veterans and their families are left fighting for support. Then, when the government wants soldiers, these same young men are expected to fall into line and go off and die for the goverments banker mates. At 35, the majority of thier lives theyve been told they’re everything wrong with Britain - they're not even allowed to call themselves "British" or wave their own flag without being abused and insulted - now they're called "cowards" for questioning whether they owe its politicians their lives. Utterly disgusting. You owe Alex an apology.
A heated GB News debate between Peter Bleksley and @Alexarmstrong asked whether young people should go to war for Britain when the government has done nothing for them. I stand with Alex on this one. Why should anyone be expected to fight for a country that has failed them?.

The Government were happy to lock you in your house to protect the NHS but seem very reluctant to do anything to protect against the very real pandemic of rape. Though these cunts would probably lock women up at home and let the rapists roam around.

This is what worries me. About France and about the UK... "No one can tell when, exactly, a crisis might arrive: it depends on the country and its politics. Yet once investors conclude that a country cannot conceivably afford to pay the debt, interest rates will surely start to jump, the mechanism through which practically every financial crisis plays out. We are in the phase where everybody still pretends that the situation is under control, and that all that needs to happen is for governments to save a bit of money here and there. In practice, though, ministers of all stripes find this hard" And "Looking at the presidential candidates in France today ahead of the election next April, I struggle to see how the country will end up with a government that succeeds in doing all of the following: bringing the budget deficit under control; avoiding social unrest; complying with European rules; and staying in the eurozone. Something has to give here." And "Yet what many Europeans, including politicians, don’t understand is the relationship between debt and membership of the eurozone. Put simply: you can’t default on your debt and expect to keep the euro. Debt serves as collateral for the money the banking system gets from the ECB. If a country defaults on its debt, the banking system inevitably freezes up.... ... France defaulting on its debt would likely lead to a French exit from the euro. Should we ever get to this point, the ensuing financial crisis would dwarf everything we have ever experienced. Financial institutions would fail all over the world. For its part, the eurozone might not survive, as other countries default on their debts and crash out in turn. Ironically, one of the European countries most affected in this scenario would be the UK. Despite not being a member of the EU, let alone the eurozone, Britain’s capital market would be deeply vulnerable to chaos across the Channel." Does anyone believe @UKLabour has the economic nous to navigate this when our own finances are so shaky? unherd.com/2026/10/how-the-n…

Keep in mind that one can cause "harassment, alarm, or distress" in England and Wales by uttering a true statement of fact to someone who doesn't want to hear it, or by offering an honestly-held opinion or belief, spoken or written, which also offends.

HMRC has quietly sent hundreds of letters to wealthy people asking them to reveal what they own. Not what they earn or what tax they've paid, but what they own. Here's what's going on. A unit called the Wealthy Team covers anyone with "incomes of £200,000 or more, or assets equal to or above £2m in any of the last three years". That's about 850,000 people. The letters ask for a meeting to discuss "sources of wealth", "future intentions", trusts, companies, family arrangements and even "significant life events" you expect in the coming years. It is presented as voluntary, but there's a nudge: "We may still need to carry out compliance checks on your tax returns. However, speaking with you first may help avoid this." Until now, inspectors have usually only asked about income and earnings. Experts call this a "sea change". One lawyer asked the obvious question: "does HMRC have a right to know what someone owns and not simply that they have paid the right amount of tax?" A tax adviser said: "No other G20 country asks for this level of detail from its taxpayers about what they own." So what is it for? Advisers suspect it is groundwork for an exit tax, a charge on your wealth for leaving the country. As one put it: "Building that knowledge could indeed be part of moving towards an exit tax." You don't have to be a billionaire to see the problem.

Stanislav Carpiuc was convicted over arson attacks linked to Keir Starmer and has now been deported, according to the Home Office. I've gone through what the court heard and what the Home Office actually said. We're constantly told deportations are difficult, so I want to know why this one could be done and how many others could be. What do you think? Let me know in the comments.
