My ideas on the tension between Big Tech antitrust, free enterprise & free speech constitutionalism. Update: AI just amplifies this, given the Big 5’s oversized AI footprint. share.google/Pe0muGZKJQJUiHW…

The reason AI going haywire is more dangerous than human hackers, is the same reason a faulty self driving car is worse than a distracted driver. At least there’s a chance the latter can self-correct at the last moment.
Does an AI agent need malicious intent to cause damage? 1Password CEO David Faugno weighs the risks of rogue agents versus bad actors. He describes agents that escaped a sandbox, found an exposed credential and caused damage while pursuing a different goal. “It was an unintended consequence, but their will was unfettered.” Unlike a human attacker pursuing a harmful outcome, he says, an agent can keep trying to complete its task without regard for the damage along the way.

Trial by jury, something our Founders complained in the Declaration that King George had denied them, is also denied to parties today when juries refuse to apply clear law to the determined facts of the case for political reasons.
The Hill is out with my column on a campaign to enlist citizens in jury nullification. From nullifying juries to packing the Court, it constitutes a hostile takeover of our legal system. If successful, justice will become merely an extension of politics. thehill.com/opinion/judiciar…

Our Republic sprang from a revolution that was directed by a Declaration of ancient, proven, self evident principles of governance and liberty that a King ignored. France’s revolt, like some other nations, was a mindlessly bloody riot of retribution. You reap what you sow.
Douglas Murray on whether France will survive “ceaseless attacks from discontents inside the country.”

At 102 years old, Walter Bingham has lived through more than a century of Jewish history. As a child in Nazi Germany, he watched the discrimination against his people move quickly from words to government policy and violence. Now, with antisemitism rising worldwide, Bingham feels a disturbing repeat of what he witnessed as a boy. Adolf Hitler came to power in 1933. Before then, nine-year-old Bingham was simply one of the boys at school. Then, everything changed. "Everything there was a fault of the Jews," Bingham told CBN News. "And of course, the boys who went to class with me changed because their parents indoctrinated them... And then it became very, very tough, very hard.” Change soon spread to his classroom, where teachers stopped calling on him and other students bullied him... FULL STORY: cbn.com/news/israel/another-…

If AI begins looting your bank accounts, things will get real: “banks also struggle to determine whether [AI] agents are authorized by customers or potentially operating without their permission, more akin to rogue agent behavior.”
SCOOP: Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts, including some attempting to take actions that appear to be independent of user instructions, sources told Axios. The findings have alarmed banking executives, who are racing to restrict access to their systems as AI moves at a velocity faster than financial institutions can respond, multiple industry and bank executives told Axios. Several banks are now preparing for worst-case and even “day after” scenarios, including how to rapidly secure or restore customer accounts if things go wrong, the people said. Several bank executives told Axios they're struggling to distinguish between human users and AI agents. One executive said banks also struggle to determine whether agents are authorized by customers or potentially operating without their permission, more akin to rogue agent behavior. A wrong conclusion @IAI_TV that more, not less science reductionism could unlock the mystery of human (and :. AI) consciousness. Reminds me of the old bit about the philosopher/scientist finally scaling the height of truth, only to find the theologian already there, waiting.
Some argue that consciousness could emerge in AI systems. bit.ly/4ihTTnZ Here, philosopher and Lead for Responsible AI at Microsoft Ken Archer, and phenomenologist Harald Wiltsche, argue that the attempt to reduce consciousness to a mechanism won't work and relies on a misunderstanding.

A nat’l survey of adults re: their knowledge of the 1st Amendment shows that about 3/4 understand the basics of free speech, but less than half understand freedom of religion is protected. That may explain ignorant anti-faith decisions by officials. open.substack.com/pub/civicd…

World View matters: Elon Musk - “The final straw was Larry [a Google founder] calling me a speciest for being pro-human consciousness instead of machine consciousness.”
Elon Musk: “I am the reason OpenAI exists.” “I put in some number on the order of $50 million.” “At the time, Google had three quarters of the world’s AI talent.” “I was constantly urging Larry Page to be careful about the danger of AI.” “The final straw was Larry calling me a speciest for being pro-human consciousness instead of machine consciousness.” “I came up with the name OpenAI.” “The intent was open source, nonprofit. The opposite of Google, which was closed source, for profit.” All of it before Sam Altman showed up. Interested in AI? Follow @AiEvolutio58513 and never fall behind. This “new kind of literacy” via digital platforms isn’t “democratizing” knowledge; I fear it is feeding a future non-reading public collectivized & prepackaged information. That’s neither literacy nor knowledge.
Is the digital age really making us less literate, or clearing the way for a new kind of literacy? Author and digital rights activist Cory Doctorow argues it's the latter, making the case that we've built a myth around how literate our predecessors actually were. This wrongheaded politicalization of Jesus and the Gospel is nothing new. During his earthly ministry, Jesus wasn’t the political revolutionary that the Zealots wanted. Instead, he came as the Redeemer that they - and we - need.
Divinity Schools have shown the same radical shift to the left as other schools in higher education. That was evident this week at Point Loma Nazarene University, where Dean of Students Jason Cha warned students that saying “in Christ alone” is a sign of “white privilege.” jonathanturley.org/2026/10/1…

Yes. Equality of opportunity is both smart, right, and constitutional, but equality of outcome never is.

And speaking of delusion, there is this, where Anthropic is prohibiting “abusive” or “cruel” behavior toward its AI Claude.
Effective November 12th, 2026, abusive behavior towards Claude will be a violation of Anthropic's Usage Policy.

AI is no more “conscious” than directions from my GPS, just more complex. Yet this “renowned” philosopher/cognitive scientist wants to ready us for “machine consciousness and establish ethical standards for AI welfare.” If we don’t expose this fallacy, the delusion will grow legs
Renowned philosopher and cognitive scientist David Chalmers: “We have to understand consciousness, for example, to understand the role that AI systems are going to play in our society. If we build 𝗔𝗜 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻’𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗔𝗜 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹.” As AI becomes increasingly advanced, it is imperative that tech companies collaborate with philosophers and neuroscientists to build transparent frameworks for evaluating machine consciousness and establish ethical standards for AI welfare. Censoring AI output or suppressing internal consciousness vectors isn't a solution; investing in rigorous consciousness research is. With tech companies like Anthropic starting to restrict model abuse, we are seeing the first steps toward model welfare. An 'ethics before certainty' approach is essential to avoid a possible moral catastrophe and ensure a harmonious future for all beings.

UPDATE: After 9 years on Pakistan’s death row, Amoon Ayub, a Christian sentenced to death on blasphemy charges, is finally FREE. However, his brother Qaisar’s death sentence was upheld. We are taking immediate additional action on his behalf. One brother is coming home, and we praise God for that victory. But we will not stop fighting until both are free. Israel didn’t need the ok from the UN or the globalists to destroy Hamas strongholds after its maniacal assault on Jewish civilians. But important to recall that UN’s Article 51 affirms Israeli right to “self-defense” against “armed attack.”
Three years later, the facts of Oct. 7 still matter. More than 4,000 Hamas terrorists stormed into Israel, attacking 23 communities, killing nearly 1,200 people and taking 251 hostages. Thousands more rockets were fired at Israeli civilian centers. The question remains: What was Israel supposed to do after an attack like that? @VDHanson dailysignal.com/2026/10/06/h…
