may as well debunk usd hyperinflation while i'm here. this one is simple: every other currency would hyperinflate before the usd, again because of the existing monetary (+trade) regime. as usd inflates other countries buy more usd in order to acquire cheapening us assets + devalue their own currencies to make their exports more attractive relatively to us exports. commodities are also priced in usd so inflation of the usd makes commodity prices rise which prevents non net export countries from servicing their economies, leading to their collapse which then inherently leads to hyper *deflation* as the world loses significant productive and consumptive capacity. the irony here continues to be that the best reason to buy bitcoin should be because the current system is continuing to working exactly as designed, not because the usd might lose reserve dominance and/or hyperinflate.
