Don't kill it before you try to satisfy the (edgy) @CyberTruck curb appeal and cost/durability trade off and 3 row versatility first. Don't quit now @elonmusk & @wmorrill3! Also, restore FSD speed controls. Learn from the failure, that's how you can save both.
Try this with the injection molded color panels first. The low poly count and expense of the stainless body are very likely the main detractors for potential buyers. The @CyberCab panels are similarly durable for @CyberTruck applications and shape-able & many want 3 rows.

Booooooo! Pivot to a Cyber SUV & also try versions of the Truck & 3 row SUV with CyberCab type panels for a more "traditional" appearance before winding down. The @CyberTruck tech is unmatched by anything else on the market in so many aspects. It will be tragic to lose it.

Had some trouble with the solar power cables binding up under the rail when storing the panels. So had @claudeai (amazingly) help iterate on some cable chain guide designs. Finally got around to installing that today. Working great so far, hope it holds up over time with use.

Finally "finished" my @CyberTruck stowable 200w of Solar PV over the thonneu, powers an @EcoFlowTech that runs the cameras & @Starlink & air compressor, etc, & I guess could recharge maybe 1-2kWh over the course of a day in a pinch. Plans for a second pair over the roof maybe.

Every @Tesla feedback survey I fill out until you simply capitulate and restore speed control: I NEED manual max speed and the old speed offset to be restored. I'm intervening orders of magnitude more than when I just had 10% offset because speed profiles are great at assertiveness but will NEVER be able to infer my desired speed, which I could just input with the offset or override with the scroll wheel. Check my other comments for the myriad of real world situations where manual speed is the only practical solution short of installing a @neuralink to read my mind. Follow this thread back to December 2025 for so many justifications: teapawt.org/D0li0/status/211529013… Please for the love of your customers sanity make these available again. Use them for training. They aren't mutually exclusive with the continued development of profiles. Heck, you can hide them in the settings screen and make them default to off during every drive like the slippery surfaces setting. Make me work for it when I need to be able to precisely control the speed, I don't care! My private @CyberTruck and my wife's Model Y aren't a @RoboTaxi! How much do you want me to pay beyond the $8k each I already did in order to get this simple feature that was already perfect and is now malicious being withheld out of hubris and anti-patrern (sic) unachievable aspirations? I absolutely & completely agree with their @RoboTaxi full autonomous aspirations. I have zero doubt they will achieve it. But giving owners the ability to manage speed has no adverse impacts to mastery of autonomy. In fact, I would conjecture that manual speed is better training input. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Don't make me resort to asking NHTSA to force your hand like the dumb stop signs thing! But at this point, more than a year in with speed profiles still constantly failing, and a simple solution that was already present readily available, I don't know what else I can do? Just restore control over the speed already!! Please! I'm begging you! @aelluswamy @pduan @Tesla_AI @elonmusk

FSD is excellent, & speed offset & scroll speed swipe were perfect. Have we come to the point over the last year of horrible speed profiles that we've realized removing those was too much & we can have them back please? The best control isn't no control. teapawt.org/D0li0/status/211255759…

Hasn't aged well. Did y'all miss that Max can also reduce the speed? I know @aelluswamy, @pduan, yourself are infallible. But maybe manual max speed was the "removed too much" part, & it's time to permanently restore it? Learn from this Failure please. teapawt.org/D0li0/status/211255539…

It's been like two year since your self quote, about speed input being oh so "Legacy". FSD just rolled in hot at 30MPH to a 20MPH school zone this morning. So how about you add manual max speed permanently, & use our high precision inputs for training? teapawt.org/D0li0/status/210866838…

Why does any company do halo projects and racing teams? To win over customers for their non-halo staples. To develop cutting edge tech which eventually potentially makes it into other vehicles. To just sharpen their engineering skills. Bragging rights. Advanciythe state of the art generally. Etc etc... Cars aren't simply transportation, never have been, nor horses, this is pure motor sport. Perhaps as a @Tesla/@SpaceX merger pitch, but all Elon Ventures have always cross pollinated. An OG roadster was the validation payload for Falcon Heavy. Tesla motors were used as grid fin actuators and @boringcompany tunnels propulsion. They all benefit from the battery tech. The starship stainless transfered to the @CyberTruck. The AI is used in @Neuralink brain signal processing deciphering. The synergies are obvious and apparent across all the companies. And they all further the ultimate @NASAMars aspiration to create redundancy for life beyond our inevitable ELE vulnerable cradle we call @Earth, and that mission will enhance our curation of @NASAEarth itself. All these things have been apparent and obvious to me for perhaps a decade, and since the inception of each new company. Given the correct frame of reference it is all the epitome of selfless expertise in the wielding of capitalism and the best of the human minds potentials in the teams he creates and leads. Knight Industries, Stark Industries, and the Weyland-Yutani Corporation have nothing on @ElonMusk Enterprises. ;)

Just used one tonight, we're in a city with no superchargers. Stopped by Walmart for some supplies & saw the 4 CCS/NACS DCFC on the edge of the lot. Logged into the app, added a card, scanned the screen, worked fine. Failed to get back to the app session page once I left it.

My first sighting of a @RoboTaxi CyberCab in the wild in the PNW on the 520 west bound leaving Redmond headed for perhaps Bellevue. One passenger in the "drivers" seat, likely an employee, no steering wheel. As I ride along in my own personal @CyberTruck RoboTaxi.

Took delivery today of my @Tesla CyberTruck trip motor CyberBeast. So I'll be a little busy crusin' around for a spell. Looking forward to the BEV car shows, Uber/Lyft rides, drag strip, might see it they will let me into SCCA autoX with a truck.

Every customer survey respons until manual max speed control back: FSD needs to have manual max speed restored, it will never perfectly know my "implied preference" to slow well under the speed limit on a mountain switchback so to not wake my sleeping wife with motion sickness. My only option is to increase my risk of an accident by disenging FSD, simply because an existing feature that would take no effort to restore doesn't make sense in a fully autonomous robotaxi? There are many valid and legal reasons an owner might wish to precisely control the speed, convoying, off-roading, bad signage reading, low SoC needing to slow to make the context charger, site seeing, etc, etc. @aelluswamy is frankly wrong & being obstinate & intentional making many of our experiences appreciably worse, it's NOT an anti pattern. These aren't robotaxis, they are private vehicles & we MUST have speed control, ALWAYS. Make it an option which is off by default like slippery surfaces, but it MUST be possible to control the speed AND maintain the superior safety of having FSD engaged. Removing it a year ago was one of the dumbest moves ever, & that it's still not restored a year later is pure hubris making my FSD experience regularly frustrating because of a trivial feature that is easily restored. Forward this to whomever @elonmusk @teslasi @woodhaus2 @robotaxi @Tesla_Optimus @grok can resolve the issue, apparently that isn't Ashok. It's apparent that he can't or won't comprehend situations beyond his blinders. Seriously, what harm is caused by letting us have edge case control? There will Always be edge cases, always.

So Ashok recently stated that giving drivers specific speed controls is an anti pattern. I disagree with this, and believe it’s bad for customers—and @teslasi Why Did Tesla Make FSD Worse? youtu.be/_m_3cqUIcdo?is=3VYU…

That's complete BS! How the hell will FSD learn my implied desire to slow down to 40-45mph on a 60-55mph mountain switchback so I don't wake my sleeping wife? You cleaning up the 🤮? This JUST happened to me IRL! Make it a hidden option I must enable on every drive at least?

A whole thread of other valid reasons to need to control the speed: teapawt.org/i/status/2084437278009… Unless @aelluswamy thinks FSD can actually handle all of these many dozens of completely valid use cases. Then @teslasi needs to restore max speed, at the very least as an option.
