This is a disgusting affront to science. RFK and Trump have sacrificed women and their infants, to protect their own personal profits and entanglements.
1/ CDC scientists wrote an urgent alert to warn doctors about measles in pregnancy.  New reporting shows the Trump administration blocked it. In Pennsylvania alone, 77 pregnant women have had measles this year and at least six newborns had it at birth.

Can you argue against this?
MUST-WATCH: "Until they drive prices UP... Americans aren't complaining right now that prices are too LOW." @AbdulElSayed masterfully schools Bari Weiss' CBS News(max) 60 minutes host @Douthat60 on the problem with living in corporatism, not capitalism -where monopolies and oligopolies reign supreme - and the importance of backing politicians who support the ability of labor UNIONS to push back so workers can earn more and live better lives... rather than politicians who are owned by corporations. (ahem, Mike Rogers)

This reminds me of @tobi 's discussion of removing friction to access demand. This is our next chapter. At Trova, we have built infrastructure that removes the friction to expand the last industry across borders - digital health. And we have done it with AI and a small team.
Revolut’s quiet bid for AI Independence: Cutting coding costs by 90% The first chapter of modern fintech was powered by smartphones, cloud computing and easier licensing. That phase is largely over. The next one is being shaped partly by artificial intelligence — specifically by how cheaply and effectively a firm can use it. In a recent presentation, David Abitbol, head of AI operations at Revolut, explained how the company has reduced its dependence on expensive frontier models. By self-hosting open-weight models (primarily GLM) on dedicated GPUs, Revolut cut the cost of AI coding assistance by roughly 90%. The blended cost is now about 30 cents per million tokens — roughly one-tenth of previous Anthropic/OpenAI spend. After the switch around April 2026, results across ~2,000 engineers showed coding time improving by ~60% and lead time by ~70%. Earlier tools (Gemini, early Claude Code under budget caps) delivered smaller gains. The bigger lift came once token limits were removed. Engineers stopped rationing AI for the hardest tasks and used it freely for codebase navigation, config and surrounding work. Coding itself was never the main bottleneck, but lead time was. Revolut focused on making existing hardware efficient rather than simply buying more. Over several months, with the same GPU count, performance improved substantially even as demand rose, delivering interactive speeds engineers accept at a fraction of the old cost. Frontier models remain available but are now the exception. As a regulated bank, the company runs the weights on infrastructure in approved jurisdictions and keeps coding tasks under human control via a sandbox with clear allow/deny rules. This maintains a non-autonomous classification, provides an audit trail and limits internal risk. Few banks have publicly shown a comparable shift to open-weight models as the everyday default for engineering, backed by measured data and a workable compliance approach. Many larger institutions still primarily wrap frontier APIs, often with usage limits because of cost. For a high-growth digital bank that ships continuously, lower and more predictable AI costs remove a constraint. Productivity gains can compound. Legacy banks with slower governance and older stacks face a harder path. AI alone will not create customer trust. But it is already useful for analysing data and accelerating technology development. In an environment where AI cost and capability increasingly influence how quickly a company can move, Revolut has shown that a regulated bank can treat intelligence as infrastructure rather than a metered service.

RFK Jr said at two years he would have measurable changes to health - not quite two years but what have we done: Measles - oh, sorry not a good story there, lets ignore that and RFK Jr constant anti MMR career statistics • 10 million more uninsured by 2034, projected. • Medicaid enrollment projected down 13.1 million. • SNAP spending projected down $211 billion. • NIH grants down from pre-2025 levels. • Glyphosate still registered. Those are measurable policy changes. Now show us the measurable improvements in chronic disease. But we asked industry to change the colors in Skittles, and well that is something. We did get one person to put tallow in fries - and that has changed - nothing. We made a new food pyramid that only influencers enjoy and no one follows. So we have less people with insurance, more infectious diseases, less ability for poor to get the whole foods he wants and we cut basic research.

This is a classic, "if you're explaining you're losing".
This is an insane ad by Kansas Senator Roger Marshall, and when I first saw it, I thought it reeked of involvement by the candidate or the candidate’s spouse. A classic case of a candidate feeling embattled and not feeling defended enough — it’s at this point that many candidates for office make the most reckless decisions. And there’s no way professional Senate campaign staff or the NRSC would run such an ad. And it turns out it’s much worse. Per The New York Times, Marshall went around his campaign staff, hired his own film crew, then delivered the ad to his campaign and tried to get them to buy airtime for it. When they wouldn’t, he started passing the ad around to others, and that’s how it got posted on Twitter. For those who aren’t aware, when Marshall was a practicing physician, he filed hundreds of lawsuits against patients. Some of those patients were arrested when they didn’t show up for court dates; others had their wages garnished. Marshall frequently charged 18 percent interest on their bills. Marshall’s billing practices were also first reported by the New York Times. (Link to NYT story below)

A rational view.
I can be a Jew and abhor Islamophobia. I can support Israel's right to exist and reject Netanyahu's war crimes. I can condemn Hamas for October 7 and feel for Palestinian victims of the war. I can call out Abdul El-Sayed's relationship with Hasan Piker and still plainly see he's a better choice for our country than another Trump yes man enabler getting us into unjust wars and destroying our Democracy.

Europe should revoke any and all visas to Russians immediately.
Komissio on työn päällä.

This is an example of a good person, living his simple life, and struggling to make it. My heart is filled with empathy for him and millions like him. He just needs some help and is trying to find it and discern if Trump and the GOP is that help. They aren't.
It’s happening‼️ A hardcore Trump supporter at his South Carolina rally calls him a liar and says he can barely afford to live. He relies on Biden’s $35 insulin cap and showed up hoping Trump had something good to say. Even his own supporters are fed up. #BlueWaveIn3Days

I walked the Trump rally line to listen, not make assumptions. I talked with voters, asked questions and heard what matters to them. When I'm elected, I'll represent all 82 counties and every Mississippian, no matter who they voted for. That's what being your senator means. #MississippiMatters

Q: If the administration has declared on waste and fraud, could you explain the $420 million overpayment for a prison in Appleton, MN, when they company offered it to the state for $75m? BESSENT: I don't know anything about that. That's a waste of our time.

This is cruel and heinous.

Who is building a fix to dampen noise at data center? Because no wonder the residents are pissed off. I would be too.
Kentucky residents played a loud recording of the noise pollution from data centers to show its disruptive impact. Within seconds, county officials grew irritated and told them to “act like adults” and turn it off. The corrupt politicians who vote for and push these data centers onto our communities couldn’t handle the piercing sound for a few seconds, yet expect residents to live with it every day. Welcome to the USA, where politicians prioritize the bottom line of the corporations and billionaires that fund their campaigns over the needs of our people and communities.

It’s interesting that Trump is especially interested in rigging the election in Alaska. At exactly the moment when he is trying to give Alaska’s natural resources to Russia. nytimes.com/2026/10/27/us/al…
