You remember the Cambridge train attack last year where a bloke tried stabbing 10 or more people?
His trial started today.
Not worthy of front page news apparently

How… if it’s illegal are we doing this?
Polygamy is illegal in the UK. Yet our welfare system pays out benefits to multiple spouses.
Conservatives @RicHolden helped introduce legislation to stop this today.

I have met Rhiannon’s mum several times. I’m disgusted at how she has been treated by Labour.
Keir Starmer refused to meet her.
This lady’s daughter was murdered by an illegal immigrant & yet MPs shrug it off.

Another imported disgraceful Afghan beast!
Read this & tell me your blood isn't boiling 🤬..
A 73-year-old woman went for a walk in Concord Park, Sheffield, at 7.30 in the morning. Ali Askre, 25, of Torksey Road West, Shiregreen, was waiting in a balaclava and gloves.
He told police he had never had sex, so he would take the first woman he saw. He knocked her down and punched her face in until her cheekbone and nose were fractured, then tried to rape her. She fought him off. She said: “I’m 73. What if this was your mum or your nan?”
A loved one later saw her and thought she was dead.
This was not his first go. Months earlier he sexually assaulted the paramedics called out to help him, plus assaults and racially aggravated harassment.
The court gave him a community sentence. He was still on it when he went to the park.
Judge Jeremy Richardson KC called it grotesque, planned, and worse than the violence already in rape. Extended sentence: 12 years in custody, eight on licence. He admitted it.
The court heard his problems trace back to a difficult start in Afghanistan.
Pensioners are fair game now. Walk to the shops at breakfast and a man already convicted of sexually assaulting the people sent to help him is in the bushes in a balaclava. She survived because she fought. That is the protection on offer.

Oh look. That thing that never happens has happened again. Four Afghans (three men and a teen) are jailed for raping a 17 year old girl.
There is no information in the public domain that I can find which reveals their immigration status. I wonder why that is. 🤔

This is Aasim Qureshi - a teaching assistant who sexually abused a child he was supervising.
The offending took place in the multicultural nirvana of Bradford.
He was jailed for 16 months, which is EIGHT MONTHS less than Del Somerville got for throwing a plastic bottle. 🇬🇧
It's make believe to think that FFP and it's later derivatives were put in place to stop another Portsmouth or Leeds, the rules were there to stop any clubs having the ambition or means to challenge those who were already at the top. If you see that, it all makes sense
Watching the Man City saga unfold as someone with absolutely no allegiance to either side…
One of the key pillars of football’s financial rules is supposedly “financial sustainability”.
So how is City’s owner effectively gifting equity to the club considered such a problem, while the Glazers loading Man United with huge debt and interest costs is compliant?
City broke the rules — punish them accordingly. But if debt-loading a club is acceptable while gifting equity isn’t, can we really claim these rules protect financial sustainability?
Perhaps it’s not just the clubs that need scrutiny. Perhaps the rules themselves do.
