Brazil’s Lula has just got another four years of a mandate to continue asking himself the same question every night. Together with the DragonBear amid a new Cold War against the US.
Remember when Brazil’s Lula once said: “Every night, I ask myself why all countries have to base their trade on the dollar. Why can’t we do trade based on our own currencies?” This “dream” involves Russia and China to make it happen within BRICS+.

Impossible is nothing. Serbia’s Vucic concedes defeat in the parliamentary election. After Orban, Vucic is the second long-term European ruler who must go, after the oppositional forces have managed to organize themselves and created a credible and viable political alternative.
Serbian students overthrowing Vučić is an extraordinary achievement. In 2024, they began protesting. In 2025, they transformed a protest movement into civil dissidence. In 2026, they became a political party — and 2 months later, crushed a corrupt state-entrenched authoritarian.

Our security guarantees are our security guarantees. They cannot be dictated by the Russian side. Restrictions on our army and Ukraine’s neutrality are not up for discussion. The territorial issue is a red line that can only be discussed at the level of leaders. The Americans have long been raising the issue of exchanging territories – they call it “land swaps.” There are also other formats and proposals for discussion. Everyone must understand. First, we are not exchanging anything for anything. We are ready for discussions. If it is the territorial issue, then it must be discussed at the level of leaders. Other issues – at the level of technical groups. So all of this can be discussed in November. From an interview with Alla Mazur for TSN Week on 1+1, as part of the United News telethon. (2/5)

Ukraine continues precision strikes on Russia's military and industrial complex using it's new array of Storm Shadow missiles, today successfully targeting another node in Moscow's missiles production capabilities. This afternoon, the largest specialized military battery manufacturer, the Energia factory in Yelets, Lipetsk Oblast, was hit. Operating since 1941, this 85-year-old factory is the ONLY producer of critical power units for Russia’s Iskander-M ballistic missiles, Iskander-K cruise missiles, Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, Kh-35U anti-ship missiles, and guided aerial bombs. These specialized batteries power missile guidance and control systems, making Energia a critical supplier to Russia’s weapons industry. Thick columns of smoke rose above the industrial complex following today’s attack.

how sweet is a victory for democracy? the moment joyous citizens celebrate where once they were beaten in the streets? the schadenfreude of watching an arrogant despot concede defeat? an historic moment for Serbia with vital implications for the wider world…
