I’d be willing to pay the subscription fee for a more full analysis in graphic & map format of these transactions. Sale $/land value, sale $/last sale $, $/sf (land & improvements, weighted $/sf by interior improvements (quality level, age, lease rate, etc). Free blogs do best!

I don’t get what this counter on the vehicle icon means. The lack of guidance on how to use the @transitapp is disappointing. Usability can be improved with some basic info about the functions & elements of the app.

When we build Affordable Housing into new MF projects in EVERY neighborhood, the people who work in the neighborhood of their home won’t need a car nor will they be relegated to transit for access to work, improving economics for tenants & developer. nyc.streetsblog.org/2024/10/…

As my council person, I’m frustrated w the interpretation of the info from @RideRTD that @FlorForDenver got. It’s not funding for RTD, it’s funding for a transit line a contractor operates. The second track can be added with force or beyond RTD’s control, if we want it.
Why the hell would RTD carry water for a highway expansion that will directly draw riders away from its rail line? “Just before the vote, a DIA official asked RTD’s lobbyist to inform Alvidrez and other councilors about the transit agency’s “limitations to expanding the A Line”

And we don’t wait for every street or road to get to capacity before we plan for its expansion. It isn’t even an expansion but rather a completion of what we voted for in FasTracks, but gave us a cheap & incomplete system. @CityofDenver can’t fund the B line, but we can finish A!

I really hope that Wes @KilledByATE & Chuck @clmarohn will do some discussions about how they see the engineers responsibilities and obligations, from different perspectives, as authors of books criticizing the same industry they are involved with (former/current/passive/active).

@StrongTowns: is there any effort or interest to make this work? Something non-marketing that could be used for marketing for both books? A series of 10-15 minute videos discussing these topics would be great for both books and authors @clmarohn @KilledByATE

In case @limebike doesn’t want their scooters disposed of, please grab them from the dumpster behind 200N Washington St, Denver 80203

Screen protectors are great until they separate from the screen at the edges. While the amFilm screen protector works as it’s designed, in terms of cracking instead of the screen cracking, it’s a nuisance when it starts to pull away from the screen: 2x now bit.ly/404TwUi

North American Urbanists! Before you decide that you can narrow all your arterial lanes to 9 feet, ask your transit authority how wide their buses are. There may have to be compromises. Not all large vehicles are evil!

For those in their cages, there’s love lost for those helping make their movements easier and less congested, albeit with a fraction of the inconvenience of being in another cage, But they respect the cage, not the person outside it.
It's not about whether you personally want to or need to drive. It’s about understanding the simple truth that in cities, if everyone tries to move by car, no one moves much at all. So the more of us that are enticed to walk, bike & take transit, the better it is for EVERYONE.

This happens at partial stop-signed neighborhood streets often without the vehicle operator thinking about the conflict they’re creating for us bicyclists at the stop sign if an opposing vehicle to the other comes through the unsigned direction. Drivers need new re-education!
Dear Drivers: cyclists know that when you stop to wave us thru, when we don’t have the right of way, you’re trying to be kind. What you don’t know is you’re putting us at huge risk. Thread 1/7

Can someone help me understand what this +20 XP means when starting a lesson in ⁦@duolingo⁩? I don’t know if that’s what it costs or if that’s what I earn from completing the lesson. It’s a more confusing app than it seems it should be as they try to gamify & revenue it.
As a non-gamer, I find the gamification of ⁦@duolingo⁩ to be puzzling. Not because I don’t like earning points or rewards, but I don’t get the overall plan. Am I not supposed to continue when I have the time to do more?
Awesome!
My guerilla parklet was removed because only motor vehicles are allowed to use public parking spaces. Pleased to say I've found a solution. Looking forward to getting started on parklet 2.0.
