the AVERAGE net worth of every employee & executive combined at @washingtonpost is worth over $61,185,000. Why?

Why do physicians, not doctors, earn $350,000?
Here is a wonderful article, underwritten and subsidised by @UHC to put more pressure on our physician community and destroy their reputations.
You attend school and mandatory training for 10-15 years post graduate.
You work 80-120 hours a week for several decades.
You reduce death and keep people alive.
$350k is the least they deserve to make.
If carriers and health system executives didn’t have control physicians, you know the people doing the work, would make more and patients would pay less.
Don’t be jealous @washingtonpost. You’re reporters make way too much for what they do.

It’s shocking that the massive ecological & public health disaster in East Palestine OH isn’t the lead story on every network.
Years ago I saw a man with angiosarcoma from vinyl chloride. It was unforgettable.
The long term harms of exposing thousands to this will be terrible.

I have never come back from any holiday feeling relaxed, refreshed & reinvigorated to get back into work.
I come back with the taste of freedom, still fresh in my mouth, a renewed hatred for work, and a strong suspicion that this is not what I should be spending my life doing.

Last 48 hrs Ive been hearing all the reasons why universal health care in other countries sucks: high taxes, wait times, lower pay. All due respect to these problems, but we have system designed to make a handful of corporations immense profit by denying medical care to everybody

Pro-lifers don't like complexity. At 17 weeks my placenta detached and he was much too small. I thought I felt my baby's frantic attempts to breathe. My OBGYN advised me to terminate the pregnancy, there wasn't much time. But I couldn't.

That means no pediatric hospital beds for kids in a car accident, kids with cancer, kids with meningitis, kids with #COVID19….
When people choose not to #getvaccinated, this is the price.
No available pediatric hospital beds in the entire State of Oklahoma at times this last week. We need a State Health Emergency declared so we can expand capacity. Some of our sick #Oklahoma children have been sent to out of State hospitals because we have no capacity. #vaxforgood

Breakthrough Covid cases: At least 125,000 fully vaccinated Americans have tested positive cnb.cx/2Wv0nJM
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
This article itself provides the context that this tweet lacks: this number of people experiencing a breakthrough infection is a tiny fraction of the vaccinated; the vaccine protected 99.93% of those vaccinated from getting infected. t.co/BidajDV9nL

If you aren’t a cardiac surgeon, you prob wouldn’t elbow your way up to the table in the OR & start operating on the heart. There are people whose entire job, even well before #COVID19, was assessing risk & benefit for a population. Please let them do it. #MedTwitter #regulatory
